Another High Air Intake

Good day guys, thought I'd share my take on the high rise air intake I recently finished. Part of the ongoing plan of work on my Bota 900.

The canister at top is a Donaldson "Top Spin" prefilter, and the rest is plain ole heavy wall PVC. I bolted this to the rear cage with the existent bolt holes, through the pipe, and all in, this cost maybe $80, the most being the prefilter itself. Works beautifully !

Great setup and looks good. The factory setup is probably 3 times that expensive. I would turn the outlet of your top spin so it is pointing backward instead of to the front.

I did turn it after I took this pic, as this was a initial fitting before final tighten up, but thanks for the thought.

Nicely done.

I see your hose going over the OEM filter. Does it loop around and hook into it somewhere?

This is the model I used : H002434 and got it here for pretty inexpensive compared to otherwise across the net : Donaldson Top Spin Hoo2434

Keep in mind, pending what pipe diameter you use, you will have to mate to it, BUT, I did mine with some pipe hose unions I got at Lowes for cheap.

I noticed something else in your pictures. You have the sides of your box?

Good eye Spudhauler ! I had them off to completely paint the box sides satin black, before I then applied the camp wrap to them which was in the process of finishing up that part of my "project"
