I thought I'd see if this thing is working. Three days without any post? I guess were all busy! Hope all are doing well!

Got a little rain. Then sun pops out.
Hot * Hot * Hot
Step outside, turn into a wet dish-rag.

We got a little touch and go rain today.
Been working like crazy here .............

Thought I scared everybody off.... after I made my last comment the board went quiet. I smelt myself, didn't think I had a bad smell :). Just pokin some fun. Anyhow, been enjoying the rain myself. We just increased the size of our pond to about 3 acres so we kinda need some rain to fill 'er up. Ready to look into stockin it for the kids and parents to have a lil fun catchin some fish. This project has been long overdue.

Way too busy at work lately. When it's not too darn hot to be outside, I've been in the garden. Last year, I planted some heirloom tomatoes. That may have been a mistake. I now have about 300 tomato plants that just grew out of the dirt. They're everywhere... Heck, I took a little dirt out of the garden so I could back-fill around some fruit trees I planted. Now there's tomatoes growing around the fruit trees...

still here and the rain has been constantly falling for almost two weeks. it pours down everyday .good thing is i caught the snake that was eating my fish now with all the rain i'm waiting for more snakes. i guess if a had a choose i would take the rain over the drought atleast with rain the plants grow in the garden .the only problem with the rain is trying to get my chihuahuas to go outside to do their thing .they don't like getting their feet wet. i was just thinking the same thing yesterday about how guiet the forum was.with all the inside time i have been having it's really getting to me because i really don't like being inside. i might make it into the shop today just to build something i don't care what it is .i have been thinkin of putting my rhino in there and try to look over it and prime and paint any scratches on the frame and other parts . i was leary of buying it when i got it but after 4 years without one problem with it i guess i done ok i kinda wish i never paid 700.00 for the extended warranty because i never needed it yet. well i hope the people who need the rain is getting their share of it.

No rain here. Been a long time with none in site. Just got back from Colorado, very dry there. The valley we go to got rain when we got there, but the eastern side of the divide did not get any. On I70 through Denver it was so thick with smoke you could hardley see the highrises of down town. All fires are baned, even no smoking outside in the high country. The place is like a tinder box.

Been too hot and muggy to do much except real early mornings. We have not had more than a few showers that barely wet the dust on the roads. They are having to brine the roads extra this summer. Just as bad as last year was. This creek normally runs with a good 6-8 inches of water in it. Now it is more rock than anything.

Peanut.

If you send the rain north, we'll talk to Rusty to send your sister south. The weight should be about the same so long as your rain covers the entire north-east with an inch or so. We need it!

Hi all:

Guess like most others I'm working too hard and having too little fun. Weather-- either too much rain or not enough. But the heat, well thats another issue --- wow, its been hot the last several months here in sw PA. And humid too.
Went to a new (fairly new) Bota dealer in the area today. First and last impression...they had a really nice showroom and... those folks were surely interested in my wallet. They seemed to like cash... and lots of it. Had me waiting for about 15 minutes before someone noticed me climbing all over a new RTV 1100. They gave me a one page bota brochure and alot of vague numbers. Guess I'm still looking for a dealer.

Only 15? Wow. A few years ago when I stopped @ the local 'Bota dealer I told the receptionist I needed to talk to someone about buying a new tractor. No problem, he'll be right out. 9 minutes later I pick up a brochure, & go out to the lot & start crawling over the M7040s. 10 minutes later, I tell the wife lets go, they don't wanna sell one. The next closest dealer wanted me to talk to a machine before I talked to someone. The next dealer, about 50 miles from me, was glad to talk to me, & when I got there was more than happy to help. Had me drive 2 different machines around all I wanted & use the FEL some to make sure the package would work for me before we sat down to talk $$$$

Sorry, end of rant.

seems like we have oil pipelines running all over the country and world but we have yet to use our brains and run a waterline with them while we are digging the holes for the pipelines. just think if we had a nice network of pipelines just for transfering water from state to state when one state would have a drought we could pump millions of gallons a day to them. we could run the pipelines to all the large lakes and take out when needed and fill them up when they need it we done it for las vegas so we could damn sure do it to the rest of the country. there is a dual 15" oil pipeline running from my parish all the way up north i think it even runs into canada. when the great ole miss river gets to the top of the levee we could pump it to other parts that need it. i guess some billionare will do this and then charge outragouse prices for the water.

as for sending my sister down no way keep her up there . the size of a barge that is needed for her transfer is very big and it displaces alot of water and that would raise the water level down here even higher. rasty called me the other day to see if the familly could help pay the fines he incured while they was out at the creek. my sister fell asleep in the creek and blocked off the water flow for a day or so they sent in the army to find out why the water supply to the city ran out . they found her 5 miles upstream by then the water had built up pretty good on the otherside of her only to cost rusty more money in the end. they sent in two chinooks to lift her out of the creek bottom and when the water was released it washed away 4 farms and 5 bridges and lots of people are sueing rusty because they lost some of thier land due to the erosion of the swiftly running water. if anyone can i set up a fund for rusty he's acepting ding-dongs twinkies and any other kind of snacks to feed his beloved willow-mean-na.
