Brand New RTVX1100C

Just got my brand new piece of equipment ("toy") for the farm. Love everything about it. Thanks so much to many of your posts that I read over to make my decision. We got the RTVx1100c with alloys and worksites, light kit, winch, mud flaps, headache rack, bedliner, bluetooth radio, and I ordered some awesome cheap camo seat covers that are incredibly well made from amazon. Also dealer gave me the set of steel wheels with atv tires for our muddy season! Only question I have is about the blinker kit. After being on the road some my wife wants the blinkers because she's afraid someone will try and pass when she's trying to turn into a pasture. Has anyone self installed this? Any options for this other than the kubota kit? Any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new RTV!!!

Sounds like you've already added most of the nice extras. Sorry, but I can't help on the turn signal kit.

nice ride!!! I haven't installed the blinker kit yet myself, but in my research i think it is plug and play. all of the harness is there for you and all you need is the new combo switch and i think new rear lights. also a bulb and socket for the front lights too.

That's a fine looking machine. :) Congratulations ! You wife will really appreciate the side mirrors. I couldn't make it without mine now. Got them on amazo n . Handy when spraying along the road too !! bordercollie

Wow....REALLY NICE......Of course it is your wife's pic so she gets the choice of what and were to park it, drive it, and clean it??............Glad you have a machine now to do your work around the farm and down the road......God is SO GOOD....Dennis

The side mirrors were a must. too many trailers and fences to back up and see that the center one wasn't gonna cut it.

Well she originally wanted a gator, until I showed her the heat and A/C then she was all about the Kubota, and no she washes nothing that's my job, she's says I'm too picky LOL

bordercollie, I have a utv spot sprayer that i want to use for the kubota and i hear you're the guru. Do you have experience with fence spraying? I have probably 4 miles of fences i'm going to treat with roundup and wondering of a better solution than the handheld wand. Any input would be wonderful!

:tiphat:Looks awesome ! You'll love it ! I do mine

I like yours too but I didn't like the camo. I am sure we will love this machine for years to come. The dealer was servicing a 2008 1100 c while we were looking at these and the one in service had 6,500 hours! I was amazed. Apparently it was a powerline check vehicle and ran 24hours a day non stop. Amazing durability and I'm amazed how well built they are compared to the competition. I feel like we got equipment not a fast toy.

Haha. I' learn by the school of hard knocks. I have a 25 gallon 12 v and I think the most important part of the whole thing is an on demand pump and one of the brass wands with no plastic. I wired it into my homemade console and just flip the switch to turn on power to it. I have multiple pig tails and a flip switch to each one.
I will be going out of town in a few minutes but will be back Fri night. I love my spraying set up though. I use the real round up and have found that it is usually a stronger product than the generic- look at pounds of chemical on the label . Most round up- generic and the real deal - are 41 % but the real deal is 5.5 lbs of chemical and the generic is 4.5 of 41 %etc.. . I 'll check back when I get home- bordercollie

Tom do you remember what the kit cost? Just trying to get an idea? Does it come with all the little brackets and new lights?

Rtvman I don't remember the exact cost but the kubota web site is $277.00 dollars. You should be able to get about 10% off that or so since you just bought a new machine from them.

And it comes with everything new lights, switches, everything. I might of needed a few xtra Ty raps but that's just me.

Hey RTVMAN Congratulations on your new RTV! I can only echo others in telling you that it is a awesome machine and you will love it!
I wanted to offer some input on making left turns.... If I am driving a tractor or something else with out turn signals down the road, and am planning to make a left turn with no oncoming traffic and cars on my butt, I like to ease over towards the center line before the turn, and generally cross over it into the oncoming lane or straddle the center line so that people behind are aware that I am going to make a left turn also make it ridiculous to try and pass. I think its really dangerous when someone in front of me driving a tractor just rips it into a driveway with no warning to the following cars. I hope this helps.... also slowing way down before the turn in traffic situations also may alert attentive drivers your about to make a move.
Please be careful way to many impatient or distracted drivers out there!
