BX2230 timming mark

2004 BX2230 . I found the timming marks on the flywheel didn't find mark anywhere to line the flywheel mark up to. I plan on adjusting the valves. Manual says to line up TDC mark with mark on engine back plate. Since the engine is actually mounted backward there isn't a back plate. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Timing mark

Bring up number one to the position where the valves are both closed.

Thanks for your response. I did as you advised, did OK. Sure seems strange kubota didn't think about timming marks when they reversed the engine. Attahed a pic of my tractor with a cheap vinyl cab I purchased off ebay for $80. about four years ago. Was fairly easy to to modify to mount on kubota. Cab is made for Craftsman,MTD etc.
