Door Sill Guards (Rocker Guards)?

Got rained out this morning so finished these up.

Used the same 1" tubing I used on my bed rack. Welded the front and middle bracket to the frame tube under the floorboard. Welded the rear bracket to the vertical square tube just behind the side shields. They'll get field tested over the next month cutting wood in the timber.

that will save on some busted panels for sure.had a hpx gator I was climbing out a ditch in the rain and it slid back down took out my fenders and part of the front cowling.
 
You know how first impressions of a new rig are. Well my 1st was the shifting issue. My 2nd was how low these rigs are. I high centered the left side in the first few minutes. So, before I tear it up, thought I should try to protect it.

By placing them below the deck, didn't you just lose another 2" of ground clearance?

Did you consider placing them behind the lip of the deck and flush with it on the bottom?

Seems this would have given you the same protection and strength, but not lowered your ground clearance by 2".

We work the heck out of our 2006 on a very rugged 50 acre horse farm. But fortunately we've never bottomed it out.

Great job fabbing your rockers, it looks like they belong on the machine.
 
As far a actual ground clearance goes the A-arms and axles are a bit lower so He's technically not loosing any ground clearance. He might be giving up a little bit of clearance as far as getting high centered. But I'm not exactly sure where the drive shafts come down, they might be lower.

At any rate he wouldn't be loosing much and it could offer protection to the belly of the beast. I really like them.
 
Yeah, as Bill said, there's a lot of chassis below my guards.

I contemplated these for awhile before commiting. Wanted something tough enough to carry the weight of the machine.

No offense intended, but if you have worked ur rig hard and not bottomed out on the door sills your arena is much, much flatter than mine. :)
