DR Power equipment

Anyone familiar with DR Power equipment? (DR stands for 'Done Right') You can check them out at: http://www.drpower.com/.

I have just ordered their Power Grader after watching their videos and checking out reviews on various forums. I am also considering getting one of the chippers in the Spring. They have what looks to me like 'skookum' gear ('skookum' is Yukon term for heavy duty and well made). And they allow a six month trial period with full refund if you are not happy.

I had never heard of them, but stumbled onto an ad in a magazine which prompted me to look them up. Curious if anyone else has experience with their equipment.

I have one of their 6 ton electric log splitters and it has done everything I have needed it to do for the last 3 years. I will admit that I try to split most of my wood by hand but for those knotty stubborn rounds it sure does the trick or if I am short on time I will run a weeks worth of rounds through it with no trouble.

I've got the DR Grader and it works great behind my RTV 500...I've also got the DR Commercial trimmer and it's been great.

DR stuff

Ive got a stump grinder and a Trimer/mower and I am very happy with both, and the wife has a small mower and trimmer she likes. they do what they are advertized to do and then some.... Later Jerry:agree::tiphat:

I've got one of their original DR Brush Mowers. The darned thing must be close to 20-years old. You know, the old ones with big spoke wheels, no reverse, belt driven. Really old. I just gave it a service and changed it over to the grass mowing desk. The thing has always started second pull and still does. The Briggs Industrial plus engine is a running son-of-a-gun. It has been beat up, banged up and treated badly but still works great. What can I say, I've had my moneys worth out of it and it looks as I'll get some more. I've a friend who calls it an antique and he's right but it'll cut grass better than any Yardman or MTD that you've ever owned and outlast them by at least 15 years. It's a well made, robust piece of equipment. Expensive ... yes but worth it. It's been a few years since I dealt with their service department but even that was almost a pleasure. They were extremely helpful and honest. They even advised me of a cheaper alternative to their own replacement belts. What more can you ask?

If you have a need for what they sell, it all seems to be well made and durable. Although possibly initially expensive to purchase you'll be rewarded by longevity.

Thanks for sharing your experiences, guys. Your stories echo what I was discovering in the reviews I was finding about their equipment. I hope to have the Power Grader arrive sometime this coming week and will let you know how it performs. Maybe a picture, too. I have 2kms (1.24 miles) of gravel driveway to keep up and its gotten quite pot-holey since I sold my old Champion grader a few years back. So it will be a good test for the DR Power Grader.
