TWO GUNS

.... well, I did it !!! After 17 days since the crash. I climbed up on it again. It is fixed.
As most of you know, for almost two weeks now, UPS & FedEx has been delivering replacement parts for the motorcycle that got crashed. Last box came in Friday morning. IT IS TIME. Time to get this chore over.This has been driving me crazy, everyday,I would wabble out to my shop, I would see the machine that like to buried me. My very close friend, who has always been there, was here early Saturday Morning. We unbolted, bolted, bumped heads, mashed fingers, for almost a solid 12 hours. He constantly chewed on my butt, telling me we should have waited until everything heals on my body before we even got started. I ignored him. But we never slacked up, only to let Mrs. Two Guns re-bandage wounds that would start bleeding again. ( Yep, she was made as h311 also) !!!! The bike is back, just like brand new !!!!
$ 7,106.58 in parts only >>>>
So this morning, after drinking a pot of coffee. Asked wife if she would like to take a ride to my fathers house and check on him....... on the bike. You can imagine the look I got .She said it was to soon to be riding, fussing about all them things about this and that .....
Told her she could get on back and ride, or kiss me bye. She got her helment, and climbed aboard. Off we went .....
My father is doing better.( Thanks to God, and all your prayers) As ya'll know, been doing our best to get him up and going again. Like some of ya'll said, it is going to take some time. He is still weak, but getting better each day. Taking very small walks at a time.
Last time I went to see him on a motorcycle is when the crashed accured on the way back from the hospital. Since he been home, been going over in a truck or car.
He said he heard us drive up. Made the statement, " on one of them bikes " ? My reply,
" YES SIR".... He just looked at me really hard. Asked him if he would like to walk outside for just a minute. I wabbled out and held the door. He shuffled out really slow. He went over to the bike and stared at it. His statement, " Son, please don't let this machine kill you, it tried it once".
With that being said, as he turned, I seen he had tears in his eyes.
We left & returned home. Tired but happy, bike runs like nothing ever happend !!! That was the longest, most stressful ride in the world.
