Yes. When I first got my license, it was for 4 years with automatic renewal. They obviously weren't making enough money off that so they introduced a 4 year license with the need for 20 continuing education points over the 4 years, five per year. That became a real pain and when I let my license expire. Before it expired I did stock up on a whole bunch of chemicals that would be restricted without a license. They have long since been used up. The latest legislation makes a spraying license valid for 1 year with 5 continuing education points.
The main effect on me was that it restricted the purchase of larger volumes of chemicals containing 2-4-D and 2-4-D itself. But, strangely enough, while I couldn't buy 2 gallon jugs of 2-4-D or the blends, I could still buy it in quart bottles. What I do now is wait until it goes on sale at Tractor Supply or ACE and the then I buy a dozen quart containers. So really, the restriction doesn't make a whole lot of sense as far as I'm concerned. It's a little more expensive that way but not too much when it is on sale.
I then either use it straight or mix it with another unrestricted herbicide.
I do miss the ease of use of Grazon though. I used it a lot at the house and at the farm.
