Peanut,
My main reason for considering the stall mat is the blade seems a bit agressive on my recycled asphalt driveway. I thought the mat might be easier on the driveway with less stuff ending up on the lawn. There might be better ideas and i don't have enough experience to tell what may work yet. Your ideas got me to thinking though.
Squerly,
I'm in central Vermont. We visited the outer banks last year and loved it. NC seems like a very friendly state. We hope to visit again and head inland to look around. It's high on our list for a retirement location.

you got me lost on the stall mat thing but i guess it's that rubber piece that i see on the bottom of some of the plows.never needed a snow plow and hope i don't ever need one i can't take the cold weather too good.

Yea Peanut,
It's that rubber piece that they carry flopping behing you when them folks up north are hunting .
You know when your legs give out because of the cold, cold weather.
Well, they have it there for just in case their legs gives out and stalls on them, all they got to do is just drop back, and the stall matt cusions the butt
during a stall fall, taking care of the buttocks >>>>>

A member of another tractor site added a modified cutting edge to his factory plow as well...if I remember correctly he used a piece of PVC pipe with a slit in it. I've got a gravel driveway so I just consider any rearranging of gravel a dual purpose plowing/grading job.:yum:

Nice looking toys you got so far, there are adjustments that can be made to your servo and WOT rpm to make it not feel gutless...the machine won't be faster top speed but it will get there quicker and not bog down.:tiphat:

it don't take the cold to make my legs give out .i drove to venic the other day to meet up with a lift boat and i had to pull over a little bit over halfway there because my right leg went numb on me and nearly both arms was dead too.3 hour drive is pushing it for me with the neck and back problems.thats why i don't like the cold if i start to shiver my body locks up in a matter of minutes .i make it a point to stay clear of the bayous in the winter time .
