Gators

TWO GUNS

Senior Member
.... try to make the best out of the high water. So Mrs. Two Guns & myself loaded up, took the camera, and went and took pics of gators later yesterday evening after it cooled down a bit. One can see hundreds and hundreds of these critters being the water is so high. Spot them really easy being the way the water is. Gotta watch closely walking down the side of the water. Don't want to become a statistic in some wildlife report. Anyway, things are looking good for gator season this year. We seen all sizes, little ones and the way up the hundreds of monster gators. Some big enough to eat a whole cow in one sitting .....

Took so many pictures, but here is a few ....... enjoy !!!!

..... now this gator is being sneeky., he got his body sunk down low, just easing around looking for something to eat.

When they get really stealth, nothing but their eyes & nose can barley be seen.....

Cool, I think... You can keep them. I think I prefer our crayfish, minnows and non-poisonous water snakes. It makes it a tad less stressful when playing or swimming in the waters.

when playing or swimming in the waters.

.... zoom, it ain't that bad. That is why one needs to stay in good shape. Don't need to outswim the gator, just need to outswim your buddy that is with you !!!!

Best to keep one friend on the bank, for a lookout, when he hollers "get out". It is time to go. You don't ask him is he sure it ain't a log, or " what did you say " , or something in the area of " your kidding uh " >>>>> When your lookout buddy talks, one always pays attention !!!!

Yeah, I figure the rule is if you need a fork lift to hold it up, you did good!
Better part was it was an eighty yard shot from a floating skiff, sitting sideways straddling a big cooler with my stand up bipod wedged into the gunwales. Got him right in the eye!
Glad to hear you and Peanut didn't float away down there!

 Is there really such a thing as a 'nice' gator? :yum:

Great pics two guns. Thanks for sharing.

Do you hunt those critters? If so how (trap, shoot or ?????)?

Oh yea, there is such thing as a nice gator. Ask anyone who looks inside the boat.

There has been some years I didn't, not many, but yes sir, we get 'em .

.... any way we can ....

Two Guns.... guess those gators put a whole different perspective on water skiing dosen't it?

yep, makes the learning process much faster.

Ever seen anyone sitting on skis, waiting to get pulled up, and they spot a gator. Gets really interesting.
OR, big gators on log sunning. No big deal. Get skier in water, get everything in order, just so happen to look back at the log after one gets into water,,,,,, "OH GOD",
the gators off the log. Where is he? That is when it get funny. ( as long as you are in the boat )
We have many big lakes full of gators & skiers.
