well guys and ladies"bordercollie" i done made the news paper agian. they done caught wiff of my recycling hobby and now they wanna do a article on me they are comeing out on aug5 to take pictures of my trashy yard.lmao they called and asked about it and i said yup every thing is from the dump even 99.9% of the plants /flowers and i sent them a few pictures and they emailed me back and said they would like to do a story on me and my yard. i have payed probably over50 thousand bricks total in my yard "i guess i stopped counting long ago" but anyways they wanna come out with their photogragher and take pictures and do a story. i told them i recycle everything i use the old pool pumps that people thow away to power my waterfalls and this summer i plan on adding a few more if people would throw some more away. some poeple around here just donate stuff to me for my projects being i ain't the richest guy in town. but when they print the story i'll post it for you guys to read.</p>

i don't do enough to have anyone say anything. they follow me everywhere's i go and after 10 almost 11 years of them folowing me and snapping pictures they haven't to this day come up with anything. the loading of the bricks is nuthing because i get them in such small amounts at a time my junk well i have a winch to pull it into or onto my trialer. the parts for you guys well i got help and tryst me i don't do much in the way of labor and i don't make anything off of them infact sometimes i go into the hole thats when my scrap money comes into play it makesup for the diference .i don't try to hide anything from anyone i figure if i could work i would have been out there workin long ago this stuff is a hobby and thats all it is nuthing more . i have stated before i ain't lookin to make any money off this stuff and i don't. there are somedays when i have trouble walking and some days i just can't move hardly thats the main reason i got my sidexside is so i can get out into the woods without walking a few miles or trying to beat myself up on a 4 wheeler. if they was to ask what i do all day i would gladly tell them that i spend a few minutes outside then i come layup on the couch and pop pain meds and take a np then i get up an hour later and go back outside. people who try to hide from people are the ones who ain't disabled me i do what i can when i can and if i can't do it that day or for a week then so be it but i for damnsure ain't gonna sit on the couch all day watching tvi have to tinker with something.</p>
Just don't let them knowexactly which dump you go to or you will have somebody on your heels. You got to protect your territory. When we were in the antique business, folks were always trying to find our sources big time. Same when I was younger (like 13) and loading scrap iron and copper on the weekends out of the old shop. A guy found out and tried to cash in on it. He got tired of such hard work and taking apart old starters ,burning them to get the copper out. My neighbor was on disability, was on a Farmall Cub tractor plowing tobacco in a small patch by the post office for a friend. An attractive woman who had stopped at the Post Office came over and was watching him, He stopped and struck up a conversation with her, she claimed to have never seen tobacco growing, and what you doing to it, and so on. She asked if she could ride a round with him and he jumped at the opportunity. Short time later, he got a notice that his disability was cancelled as he was working. Don't know if he ever got it back, and ride that little tractor is all he could do, best to just keep a low profile.</p>
no it's not about my scrap it's about the yard it's not a huge landscaping thing i just pickup the flowers they throw out ans i get the bricks or any other decoration i can find and make use of it. i ain't saying nuthin about my scrapping because the main thing the parrish wouldn't like itknowing i was snoopin around their dump.as for as disabilty goes i don't make enough on thescrap to have them say anything. and for the work there isn't any really i have a winch andcomalong/dolliefor anything heavy and now i have two little lowboy trialers i fixed up out the dump . anything to heavy and i get help but most times the winchs or comalong will suck it right up on the trailer i drive right up to it 99.9% of the time . and my yard it has alot of bricks in it but it also took me over 5 years to do what i did i sure wasn't out there pushing my limits i am a pretty laid back guy i'm slow but eventually i get things done.i'm still cleaning up stuff from gustav by the time i get that all cleaned we gonna gethit with another storm. as for telling them where i get the stuff i was plannin on saying i got it from diferent places and some poeple just donate it to me.maybe thats why they never had anything on me was because i never really done anything to have to worrie about them catching me. before i got hurt i used to cut my grass in a few minutes now the little yard i got takes me forever because one day i cut the front then a few days later i cut the back and by that time it's ready for the front to be cut again.</p>
i have 6 disc that are out in my back&neck i got 4 in my neck and 2 maybe 3 by now in my back. i had two neck surgeries and i have a cevical cage put in at c3/4 and a neck fusion at c6/7 and after time c4/5 and c5/6 went out because of the bind they was in from the other two fusions.then i got a ruptured disc at l1 way at the bottom and another one in the thorasic spine there might be 2 in the thorasic spine but one for sure.then they ran another mri and found out i have came down with spinal stenosis in my thorasic spine because of the disc gound bad and all the back trauma i had . like i said before i wake up and then i get out of bed an hour later pain pills man i eat them like candy but they help me get around so i take them cause i really don't like sitting around. if i could work the companies wouldn't hire me just because of the meds i have to take all day they say i'm a walking liabilty to be honest i shouldn't even drive a car on the meds but i have too.</p>

you can see in the last picture the bricks being stacked up in front of the setup thats where i drop them off my trialer and put them into their groups after i have enough to make something i start setting them down the problem is it takes a while to gather up enough of one kind of brick so thats why i have to stack them and wait for more to come around.</p>

thanks onfoot the reason the news people wanna come to take pictures and do a story is everything you see in the pictures including the flowers came from the dump. at one point in time someone just threw the stuff away and i picked it up . it just shows you how muchgood stuff is being put into our landfills for no reason at all i wish i wasn't hurt then i could really do somestuff but thats not the case here so i have to take my time and get it done little by little. i have the pool pumps hidden in the flowers and they pump the water to my waterfalls one day i will get a good pumping system and really have some water flow but for now them pool pumps are doing the job plus they are free. when people ask about what ido with allthat stuff i haul from the dump i tell them i just lay it out in my yard . i'll take a picture from the road and show you just how my tropical yard is hiding my house. knowone knows i live back there because from the road you can't see my house. infact after gustav people said thats the first time they seen a house back there and they never knew a house was back there til the huricane knocked everything down. people say ain't you worried about snakes but we throw moth balls all over the place and it keeps the snakes away them mothballs work great in getting rid of snakes.</p>
