Good cheap bed mat for RTV

I have my RTV Rhino lined, and that has been great, but I just thought some might be interested in this; it is called "Royal Mat Rubber Horse Stall Mat".. Tractor supply has a pile of them sitting out in front of their store in Beaumont, they are about 3/4" thick black rubber, very slightly textured. 4'X6' for 35.00. I have one in my horse stocks at the clinic on concrete. I have had it for about a year, and with horses loading and unloading in the stocks daily, I see no discernable wear as of yet. For a bed mat, I think it would be the cats meow. I may put it over my Rhino liner just for noise reduction.

Anyhow, no affiliation with the product or company.....just thought the price was decent for what it will do.

Oh yeah, here is the Tractor Supply listing, although the picture shows a 4X4, what they have here is 4X6.

That sounds super. I've seen them in at our Tractor Supply, and that would work
perfect for the RTV's.

I use those things a lot and can attest to their durability.

My shop floor is covered with them. Beats kneeling on concrete to work on something. Also makes a huge difference in the winter. Cold concrete makes my feet cold and uncomfortable. Put the mats down and you're good.

I've tried burning them to see how safe they are. Took a propane torch to one and held it to the mat until it would burn on its own. Not only did it take a long time to get it burning, it went out on it's own in a matter of just a couple seconds. Wipe away the black/burned dust and the mat is still fine.
 
We have the mats in all the stalls and the aisle.

I had to trim several of them to fit and used the pieces in front of my work bench.

They would make a good bed liner.

Any farm and ranch supply should have them.

I put this type of mat in my RTV some years ago. But because they are made with recycled tires found they transfer black to your hands or clothing if you sit on them or run your hand across it. Not great. But do like it for sound deadening and dent control. Perhaps your type is made of different material.

Hey SpudHauler and others that have these.

My batch that looks like yours with the diamond plate was made in Canada. In the "MADE IN CANADA", I kid you not the "N" in Canada is backwards. Is it the same on yours?
 
Havent seen where they are made; but after several years it's still as good as new.......I use my table saw to cut pieces left over after trimming to size to fit the RTV.......Really good stuff for sound deadening especially the vibration that the bed makes.......God bless.......Dennis
 
Been using them for over 20 years. Still have some of the originals in the garden for walk paths. We used them for horses,mules cows and soon will have some down for hogs. I have them down around the border of my dog kennel but the one shepherd has managed to drag and chew a few of them. She has also chewed through the chain link and chewed on a few folks so I can't fault the mats any. That is the only thing I have ever seen hurt them.
 
i seen them things the other day while at tractor supply .for 20.00 you can't beat them .i dought you would ever wear them out.

If you saw a 4'x6' for $20, that's a steal. I see they're now selling small ones (3x4?) and those are running $20 around here.
