Good Day at Hard Time's

TWO GUNS

Senior Member
After accepting a invite to Hard Time's place, took a small fifteen minute ride to meet. Cross the Mississippi River and headed north to some of Mississippi's most eye catching property in the state.

I was greeted at the gate, with a young lady, in a brand spanking new RTV 900XT. That was the sweetest young lady you would ever meet.
Along with her father, we talked Kubota. He told her to take me for a spin, you would have thought that young lady has been driving one of these machine for years. Up and down, shifting smoother than ever. Backing up was nature to her.
She & her father told me to take it for a run in the hills and pasture. That machine is nice, and strong, don't ever think these new machince won't go. Off the line, it takes off quickly. Notice they got the engine braking a little bit smoother than on my model. And climb these Mississippi hills in "H" with no problem !!!!!
Along with the ride, they had their friend in the back, a very nice lab. Good natured friend he was. Hard Times and his daughter took me toward the back of their place. Beautiful property, you can see alot of hard work has went into this farm.
Hard Times has horse farm, he and his daughter showed me around the whole place on the RTV. I will say, Kubota had their thinking hat on when they built the XT900 !!!!
And let me add, They have got a real seat in them now, thinking about going to dealer and get a back rest like the new XT's.
I would like to thank Hard Times and his daughter for such a wonderful visit, and can't wait to meet up again.

Whow, that XT sure looks familiar. And such a wonderful driver and rider to go along with it.

Hey TwoGuns, I expect you advised door trim on the hood, front mud flaps, Hi-rise intake, etc.

Now do you want to come visit beautiful west central Arkansas? You're always welcome at Rehm Angus!

Beautiful place HT! Nice of you to allow two-guns admitance, he's generally not allowed access beyond the main gate.

Sounds like a wonderful visit. Great Pics! I like the Christmas bow on the front. Didn't even think of decorating mine this year. :(

nice lookin land and rtv. when you say door trim are you refering to the stuff like the one you put on car and truck doors?? if so i have about 300' of it.i used it on my rhino and it works great.it has some metal clips inside the rubber to help it snap onto the corners .if anyone needs some just let me know.

Peanut, as TwoGuns shared with me, the little plastic trim placed on car door edges works very well. I believe TwoGuns stated his came from Wallyworld, that place I hate since it and other large businesses put the small businesses out of business (too many businesses in that sentence). I found mine at AutoZone I believe. Mine has a glue on the inside bend that seals the trim in place. Works to eliminate the rubbing of the hood edge to the frontend plastic. That TwoGuns is one sharp dude!!!!!!!!!!!!

.... did notice some other changes that Kubota has done. The brush-guards and more of a
Wrap-around style, which is good.
The seat, I been thinking all day about going to our dealer and purchase a back rest like the
new machines.

DID I MENTION HOW FAST HIS MACHINE WENT ?

Speeder Meter shows 30 mph. Hard Times pegged it out. That thing was running about a inch pass the 30 mph mark. That thing will boogie !!!! Maybe in the 34-35 mark.

DID I MENTION HOW FAST HIS MACHINE WENT ?

Does any other XT 900 owners do that, is that normal. Mine will only run 25-26 mph, and that is
only with the OEM ATV tires that come with the machine. And that is stretching it out, with all tires inflated properly.....

TwoGuns, my 900XT will only reaching 25-26 mph. Sounds like Hardtimes has a hot one. I perfectly okay with 25 mph.

he sure is sharp.if he tells you something you had better listen .he sure won't steer you wrong thats for sure.

.... could not believe it, but that machine would move.

Another thing, that particular unit, came from Vicksburg Mississippi. They have one of the best
Kubota mechanic in the country right at that dealership.

If that mechanic set up that machine out of the crate. It was done with perfection.
Back about 2 year ago, he came down to do some set up work on one that belonged to a close friend of mine. While he was there, asked if he had time to look mine over. Wanted to check out everything from the linkage to the fuel pump, to the hydro pressure. He said if I had it there he would. So "whooosh", ran to my place, loaded up on trailer, rushed back within no time.
He set mine up and was I impressed, and impressed by the method he done it.
So, without any doubt, Hard Times machine was set up perfectly !!!!
