Picked up a new RTV1100 on Wednesday. Most of my research for the Kubota was done right here on this forum. This forum and it's peoples experience was invaluable and very helpful in making my decision easier.
Two Guns, Border Collie, BcZoom Peanut, D and D Farm (just to mention a few) and so many others speak from experience that helped me immensely.
I can not thank you people AND this Forum enough.
Thanks again everyone!!!

Hi Cheerio Kid! Welcome to your new family :) . We are glad to have you here. Post pictures or tell us about your new RTV and how you will be using it when you can . My RTV has sure made my life and work better here on the farm and I think you will enjoy yours too. Thank you, and again... WELCOME!!! :doggy: bordercollie

Here are some pics taken the day the Kubota was picked up. One pic includes the mechanic who installed all the options.I am glad they installed them because the mechanics said he logged 28 hours prepping it. The auxiliary oil cooler and the V Plow took the most time. The last pic is me first time driving it at my place. What a sweet ride it is.

Welcome Cheerio Kid you will like this forum. Looks like you still need Peanuts stick stopers, a Golight, Gun rack and radio. More money to spend.

WOW......40 years making those little "OHs"..........Welcome aboard as I raise my morning coffee cup to ya..........Nice looking rig and perhaps you are out testing out that plow this cold morning in the midwest...........Take care Bud......God bless.....Dennis

Cherrio Kid, That is a great looking machine. The inside looks like a nice truck. My truck is 18 years old and looks quite simple next to your RTV. Ha I have crank windows . :)
One of the main problems with the basic RTV is that backing up at night is still a problem because of poor lighting. I altered my tail lights to some boat trailer ones with the clear bottom and have a work light to mount there on the back to help me since I am out at night with the cows. I must have a bumper in dealing with cattle and bushes that I encounter from time to time. I am sure all of the snow folks are going to want the low down on your snow plow- it looks great. It looks like you are ready for the snow and can leave the coat off from what I hear about those nice heaters. Congratulations! bordercollie

Cheerio Kid,

What a SweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeT machine. I commend you for taking the pictures while she's still showroom new. Great choice in installing the hi-rise intake. I'm sure east Iowa has dust also. You will not understand the benefit of the hi-rise if you've not owned one without. Check out where the hood approaches the front plastic cowling. Two Guns spotted the rubbing that can occur. His wonderful fix is standard automotive vertical door trim. Front mud flaps. They will make clen-up much easier.

It's great to have you aboard. I still consider myself a novice at best, that's why this forum is so GREAT for me.

Thanks Oldhat, I will for sure be talking with Peanut about purchasing his spiffy Stick Stoppers. I have been trying to find a good price on the GoLight (the one like Two Guns has). I was busy this morning installing an aftermarket Pioneer radio. It sounds ok but just as been stated in a different thread it DOES remind me of an old drive in speaker. So I will be looking for aftermarket speakers also.

Cheerio Kid,
Thanks for all the kind words you have spoken.

Like bordercollie stated, on here, you are family.

The GoLite Stryker is a powerful tool. Helped me out so much.

Don't forget the spark-arrestor thingy.

That is some nice pictures !!!! Very nice setup !!!

....
P.S.
I have hand crank windows on my truck too !!!:tiphat:

VERY NICE setup you have there. I'm particularly drooling on that plow.

Is the stereo issue poor speakers or lack of power? Are you going to add an amp as well? My speakers sound like crap when connected directly to the receiver. When I flick the switch for the amp, they really come alive.

Oh, and my truck has power windows. :)

Thanks for the compliments on the plow BC.:letitsnow:

I think the issue is the speakers at this time. Good thought thou BC. The stock speakers may just need more power.

The radio I installed is a Pioneer DEH64BT from Walmart. I am also a little concerned about the headliner having little acoustic transparency.

What are you using for an amp BC and where did you mount it?

I have a JBL MA6004 Marine Amp that I want to add to the Kubota. Since real estate is limited I was thinking about mounting it low between the headrests on a aluminum angle iron bracket. It looks like I would still be able to see with the inside rear view mirror. The amp can get hot but I shouldn't be driving it that hard.
I also have a set of JBL 25AV speakers that I plan on mounting outside on the rear screen. I will control the inside and outside speakers with 2 DPDT switches if I can figure out a place to mount the switches.
I have my work cut out for me but working on these improvements is fun.

Cheerio Kid,
I had the same problem with the small speakers on my RTV 1100 so I added a powered sub to get the bass back. I mounted it on the wall in the center right opposite the "Gas pedal "
I think it was only 3 1/2 inches thick and it works out great. A little pricey though. It doesn't seem to interfere with your feet. I just used velcro to hold it to the wall.
I got it at Crutchfields and here's the info.

I only have a RTV 900 so I don't have a cab for protection.

Under the OEM plastic roof, I made a ceiling panel to mount "stuff". The amp lives between the ceiling and roof panels. You can see a few of the mounting screws in the ceiling between the 2 front speakers and the go-light joystick.

Being as my stereo is more exposed, I use marine-grade/outdoor components. The receiver/CD player is Boss, amp is Clarion and the speakers are either Cerwin Vegas or Acoustic Research

Sounds like it works well.
Do you have a pic of it installed? I am kinda tall and want to protect the leg room if I can.
I do have a JBL MPS 1000 10" powered sub but I think putting that thing anywhere in the cab won't work.
I wonder if one like yours would fit in the tray under the seat. It would need to be secured good or it could give new meaning to the word "rumble seats"

Very impressive installation BCZoom. It is evident you put a lot of thought into the panel. I hope I can create things as nice as I have seen in this forum.
Which model GoLight do you have and do you remember the price?

Cheerio Kid.
Yes, I can get a picture of the sub tomorrow and post it. It's really out of the way.

i'm drooling at the rtv.lol

welcome to the forum cheerio.

Thanks

I got the GoLight Stryker with wired joystick and wireless remote. I don't recall if I got the magnetic mount or not (but I'm thinking not). Looking at current prices, you're going to be a bit sad but I paid $175 delivered.
