Handicapped Access

I bought my RTVX which is admittedly a bit of overkill to access difficult places on my property. I got the X for the closed cab air and heat. I do not need other features but i have the money so ...

I have late stage cancer and am deteriorating . I am hoping to find the right mix of exercise and assisted travel.

I can not get into the cab either driver or passenger side without a step of about 5 or 6 inches. I was surprised that I can not find a folding step or running board. i have done a lot of searching.

At my emaciated condition I weight just 138 pounds so even a door mounted step could probably work. I am willing to design and have something custom made but would prefer something off the shelp because my time is limited.

I searched for 'Tractor Steps aftermarket'.

I had quite a few hits.
thought this one might work

image of what I found:
looks promising do you have any idea how it would install There in no vertical place to mount it I am thinking of having a simple bent piece of heavy aluminum made by the local metal butcher Rubber surfaces to prevent slipping

The step looks promising but how to attach it I am thimk

Seems a bent piece as you described would be the best way to mount. I'd suggest taking the RTV to the metal butcher and have the fab up the piece and install it for you. Good luck.

I would think a good mechanic or welder like peanut on this site could make a couple of brackets out of angle iron that would bolt to the bottom of the floor frame and extend out under the door frame so that a step could be fabricated? Might consider using heavy belting for the sides of the step so it doesn't snag on stuff? Pm peanut and see what he can do?
