Hello. Thought I'd pop over here from the food forum. It's been a while since I was on a tractor forum. I hope I can contribute something to somebody and learn from y'all, too.
My current task at hand is learning how to use my new 3PH snowblower. I should have gotten it years ago. Hell, I should have gotten it last year! I would've saved 400 bucks :pat: I love it, but when you have a driveway that circles around your house and another building at the bottom of the circle, you know you're getting a snow bath at some point :letitsnow: A welding shield and hooded jacket is working "ok" for the present.

So, hi there.

Chowhound, glad you mossied over this way. :thumb:
Do you recognize any of the names here from TBN? I know you used to be on there but got frustrated like many of us did.
As always, enjoy and post often. :thumb: :D

Thanks for the welcome guys!

I like your name too Bonehead (lol). Bonehead.... it makes me laugh just saying it (errr, to myself that is)

Welcome to the forum!

How much adjustment of the chute do you have from the operators seat?

Turning the chute direction and/or turning the upper chute direction more downward should keep most of the snow off.

I've found a full-face helmet, goggles and a balaclava to work very well when you know you're going to get it in the face.

Thanks zoom.
I can adjust it side to side, but need to get off to angle it up or down, unless I spring for hydraulics in the future. There's a couple areas where it's impossible to keep the snow off me no matter which way I rotate it and what speed I go through at. I think I really need that chute angle adjustment to blow the snow downward in those areas.
I'll keep the full face helmet in mind. Right now I was going with the grinding shield because I can pull my hood up over it.

It's a learning experience, but I love making the snow "disappear" instead of just pushing it around.
