Kubota 1100 vs Polaris 800 plowing snow

I own a 2013 Polaris 800 XLT with a Moto snow plow. I have been amazed at what the unit will accomplish pushing snow with only a 1200# machine. My concern is that the snowmobile type transmission will not stand up under hard work and therefore am interested in the Kubota 1100. Logic would dictate that the Kubota which weighs in at almost 2000# should do even better than the Polaris. Anyone have direct experience with both machines and could comment about whether the Kubota will outperform the Polaris plowing snow? Would appreciate any comments or advice about plowing snow with a Kubota RTV.

Ill throw in my 2 cents worth on this.
Although it wasnt a polaris it was a Kawasaki Mule with the same type of slip clutch like a snow mobile in cold temps there isnt much of an issue but when temps get warmer the clutch likes to burn up from over heating.
On the Bota I have had no issues plowing at all.
The only issue i have is in the summer when pushing sand with the snow blade if you let things over heat the viscosity of the fluid breaks down a bit and you do loose power especially if your stuck.
I just let the machine cool down a few hours and im good to go.
I with they would have added a trans cooler on it but it is what It is.
Im not at all unhappy with the Bota for what I make it do.

I agree with Mark....The Polaris will run circles around the bota on the trail...but...if you are into serious snow pushing, the opposite would be the case. The RTV is a Bud Weiser work horse ....the Polaris maybe a Triple Crown contender. Guess it all depends on how much snow you encounter in your area and how big an area you have to clear. The only drawback that the RTV has is if in the process of clearing snow, you have to do a lot of forward/reversing ...the shifting can become a PIA.

a few years back polaris had a bad run because their motor mounts was breaking and the belts would desinegrate.. the only thing the bota would have an advantage at is weight but if you was to load some sand bags in the rear of the polaris and bring it to the same weight of the bota then the only thing that would matter is traction. i never plowed snow but i do alot of off raoding in my rhino. the other day i had to pull my son out of a mud hole his ford ranger was bottomed out face first in a hole. i hooked on to the front bumper and tried to pull him but all the rhino did was spin the tires now i don't have cheap tires i rum 26"outlaws with 2" lugs these tires grab yet instead of belt slippage it just dug in. if your concerned about the tranny on your polaris holding up just drop a epi belt in it with a clutch kit like i done for my rhino and you'll be happy .i think the epi belt is kevlar and the clutch kit that really only a large heavy duty spring and some heavier or lighter rollers depending on what kit you go with. i have the mudders clutch kit in my rhino because that was the best one they made for power. never had any over heating issues with the rhino clutch. but the original stock belt lasted two days when i put the outlaws on it just wouldn't bite enough to spin them in the gumbo mud. so what i'm sayin is pretty much all stock belt drives are ok but it you want to put power down and not have to worry about it get a clutch kit and epi belt then all you will have to worry about is snapping an axle.lol
