Kubota GR2100 seat spring

Hello all. New here. A question I have is the seat spring on this GR2100 I recently picked up. Yes yes it's got a weak HST and that's how I ended up with it. I am going to put a new one in to fix it but....

Seat spring. Is there really just one tiny spring on the bottom of the seat itself? The contraption that the seat bolts to which slides back and forth articulates and sure seems like it should have a spring or shock also. It's just got 2 rubber blocks.

Hopefully these photos help illustrate what I am talking about.

I can't tell much from the seat diagram online.

Thanks

Can't see exactly what's in your pics. I "think" this is the parts diagram for your seat.
If you're talking about part #180 on top right side, yes, it only looks like there's one. The rubber stopper blocks appear to be part #170.

In that case my seat is fully complete. It's just surprising to me that it's designed to ride on those rubber blocks.

Still trying to make sure the HST is fried before ordering one. I won't be putting the fender / seat back on until that's resolved.

I've torn the whole thing down. I can find no stuck valves nor anything that looks out of place.

My only concern is the plate that the 2 HST spinney doohickeys spin on I can feel a slight imperfection when running my nail across it.

*Symptom is ok when cold but never enough umph to go up any inclines and makes a ton of HST noise when it's stuck on a hill. I suspect I'll be ordering a new HST but am doing everything I can to make damned sure that's the problem.

Are you using OEM hyd filters and SUDT? Kubota HST's can have real problems with aftermarket hyd fluid and filters.
