Kubota RTVX Rear LED Worklight

I purchased the Rear LED Worklight for my RTV-X900. It is Kubota part number VC5051. It comes with the LED, bracket mount, correct length wiring, and lighted switch.

I do not have the enclosed rear panel for the cab, I just have the standard open mesh screen and the plastic roof. Any suggestions on where to mount the light?

Thanks!

I don't have the VC5051 but installed a Warn trail light of similar size.

I used the existing top center bolt of the rear mesh screen. See attached pic. I also installed one pointing inward for a cabin light (on a separate switch).

looking at the mesh you will see 2 solid bars running top to bottom. There are existing holes already drilled in them.I used one of the top holes to mount mine.Just make sure when you mount the light in what ever position you mount it the box clears the light when you raise the box or bed what ever you want to call it.That seems to be the best place for the light and a convienent place as the holes are already drilled. For me I used an old aluminum arrow xip tied to the back screen and ran the wires through that to make it look nice but you can use the cheap plastic wire covering you find in auto parts stores.God luck on hooking it up and let us all know how it went and a picture is always a good thing...

I finally had a chance to install the rear Kubota LED.
The install went great until I plugged in the Kubota LED light. The female bullet connector on one of the wires was actually missing the crimped end. Since I had already mounted the wiring, I went ahead and connected a round 27W LED lamp I had. I will swing by dealer to see if they can swap out the original light as it was expensive and rewiring and crimping new ends on it, shouldn't be something I have to do.

Attached are a few pictures of where I mounted it. I used one of the spare bolts on the rear mesh windscreen. It is bright enough, but may add a second to even it out.

Hellasmania;
Nice job installing your rear work light. Remember, you can't have too many lights, especially LED's. And, thanks for sharing your photos.

I just ordered 3 of these for my Kubota.[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q683YZS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00"]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q683YZS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00[/ame] Im replacing standard lighting with LED lighting for rear work light and 1 on each side as alley lights.Ill let you know how well they work when they get here and installed

I was considering that exact light Mark. I'll be watching to see what you think of them. Seems like a lot of bang for the buck for sure. ....or I should say 'light' for the buck but you know what I mean.

Ill let you know DOC as soon as I get them and hooked up.I looked at a lot of them over the past few months and these always caught my eye and not because of price but more from reviews of other owners.Should make a nice backup light and great alley lights.

Got the lights today and installed the 2 side lights. They are very bright Doc and you wont be dissapointed.I only got the 2 installed before my fingers went numb as its only 10 degrees out and blowing snow.Ill get the rear installed after i fix a damn flat tire on the Machine.I pushed snow to one end of the drive way and it felt funny got backk to the house and it is flat as hell.Only in 10 degree weather does this shit happen.Ill work on it all tomorrow and hopefully be up and running by noonish.

Wow, that was fast Mark. I'm impressed you got em on even in this cold weather. Thanks. Will hope for pics when things warm up a bit. :D

Good for you Mark. What are the housings made of on the LED lights you installed? Hope your flat tire is an easy fix.

Aluminum vented .Proper housing to keep them cool.Ill shoot some pics tomorrow of at least the 2 side sights. If i feel worth a damn after fixing the flat ill add the backup light.Tomorrows high is only supposed to be 12 so unless things go smooth the backup light wont get installed as I have to still make the bracket for that 1.The lights look identical as in the pic that is on the site and well made. They are just about as bright as my front light bar.
Ill add images tomorrow of them and tomorrow night ill take a shot of how well they light things up.Great light for the money ill give them an 11 out of 10.

Nothing like fixing a flat when its 15 degrees out.Froze my tail off and have a migrain but needed it fixed to get fire wood up.If anyone has thought about a manual tire changer from harbor freight i recommend it highly.Saves you 20 bucks a pop on flat tired and love mine. After I get my head to ease up ill take some pictures of the new LED alley lights and hopefully will have the backup light installed so i can take a picture of that too.
Have a good warm day as lord knows im not lol.

I have a slow leak in both my RTV rear tires. Both rims have dings, had the dings when I bought the RTV. I'm thinking I'll take them and have tubes put in. I've had good luck with tubes on my ZTR so why not the RTV?
In 15 degree temps I'd take it off and to a tire shop or inside a garage at least. You are tougher than I. I get cold thinking about it. Brrrrrrrr

here is with the reverse light on and yes im burried ass deep in snow. The side lights shine across a 100 yard field with no issues.
Ill grab shots of mounting tomorrow
