I may be stopping by the dealer later today to pick up some filters. If I do, I'll take a closer look at the 1100 to see if I can come up with better/different ideas.

<font size="2"><font size="3"><font size="2">I just joined today. Been lurking since we bought ours in August.

Ours is an '07 WS with atv tires. I WORK mine. It routinely pulls a 5x10 trailer full of wood and over some rough terrain. It's been flawless so far but only has 70hrs so far. </font>

<font size="2">I live in Richmond, Indiana. We are in the process of building our house off of a 200acre farm owned by the wife's family. I cleared the land myself and have been selling firewood off of it as well.

I've used the RTV to drag some awfully big stumps and would like to build a logging arch to use with the RTV.
Also has anyone looked under the headliner on the 1100 to see what is there or how to take it off..........I really hate to drill holes in the top but I can't have 3cigarette lighter cords running of the roof in through the doors.
Rusty,

I stopped by the dealer yesterday. I have no idea why, but he wouldn't let me take the headliner out. [*-)]

Anyway, it looks like a pretty straight removal. Just remove all those bolts holding it up.

What I'd be watching for is the amount of space available between the roof and the ceiling panels so you have an idea what you can fit in there. The fuse box is on the right as soon as you walk in the drivers seat so you'll probably want to grab power from there (assuming a spare slot).

Not sure what you'll find in the roof once the ceiling is removed but some choices may come to you for doing wire pulls.

Hurry up and get a camera so you can post pics of what you see once you tear your brand new RTV apart. [:D]

OK, here's an alternative.

If you want the capability to add strobe lights, GoLight or other things to the top of the RTV, how about making a light bar?

Here's in general what I'm thinking...
Use something like 3x6" rectangular steel tubing. The 6" length is the horizontal side. About 3-4' long.
All the lights get mounted to the top. You then have a 6" wide surface for mounting.
Cut some access panels in the lower side. Here, you can reach in and stuff spare wire as well as install 12v plugs if you want quick removal.
Weld on 2 brackets that come down to allow bolting to existing roof panel bolts.
Use 1" schedule 40 pipe as a condiut for the power feed and control wires to control the GoLight. Probably run this down the exterior of the cab towards the existing fuse box. Somewhere down there, punch through and into the cabin. Run the wiring back up to the ceiling behind that vertical cover over the ROPS (above the fuse box). If you don't want to drop low, you just punch a hole in the roof but on the rear side so it's more protected from rain.
Put the controls/switches in the ceiling panel.

BTW - And this is important... Do remember that you'll no longer fit in a standard garage (what is that, a 6'8" door?). You'll need closer to an 8' high door. For the times you forget, you'll appreciate the magnetic mount as it's less damaging when the door frame rips them off the RTV. Don't ask how I know...

Rusty, welcome to our growing family. just jumped out of the lurking shadows a while ago myself. </P>

Got the 1100 myself, think my other toys in the barn are gettin' a little jealous. This is a great forum.</P>

On the magnetic GoLight, if I recall, the magnetic part is not OEM. Jamie - can you confirm? What kind of pricing are you seeing/getting? I have the wired controls as well as the wireless and got the light for $175 on e-bay.

I think the Ecco strbes are 1.5 or 2.0 jules. They're pretty bright. I'd guess 10 jules is probably what fire and police use. During the day, you can easily see the strobe. At night, their blink also lights the immediate area. I thought I saw where they met some

You said " How bright do i need to go???????". What are you using them for? I've never been told I actually need it (them). I use them when going down the road, when the RTV is being used at a public event as a safety vehicle or in other places where I just want a little more visibiliy.

GULP. That's an awfully high price...

GoLight company makes many models of searchlight. Permanent, Suction Cup, Magnetic, and Dash Mount units.....</P>

Now the model that bczoom and myself purchased, is the GBC 3200 StrykerSeries GoLight, http://www.code3pse.com/productdtl.asp?grp=cd3&familyid=2&id=235, came fromCode 3 .. ... a Safety Equipment Company ~~~~</P>

I've talked to that company, and they said they purchase the GoLights and upgrade them with the Manual Control . They are the company that makes the hardware and controls to install in your vehicle. Most of these Strykermodels are used in U.S. Coast Guard Helicopters, and Search Patrol Speed Boats, etc >>>>>>> The GBC 3200 Stryker models also comes with a wireless remote. ( Which I love so much ) that works like a dream !!!! Stryker Models, either purchase from Code 3 or another source, carries a 65 watt, 500,000 candlepower, for where the other models are 400,000 candle power >>>>></P>

http://www.golight.com/</P>

You can find these GoLights on ebay for a fair price..... just about anytime !!!!! </P>

You can also go for a search on the net, and find many companies that carry the GoLight !!!!</P>
