Being a Canadian, Memorial Day is not a holiday up here. We pay our respects and appreciation for those that have fallen and those that served and currently serve in the defence of FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY on November 11 Remembrance Day. Having said that, I would also like to thank a VET on this day. During numerous training sessions in the USAback a while now, I had the opportunity to meet numerous Vietnam VETS and I had and have a great deal of respect for those magnificent men.

Veteransof WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq , Somalia and others......THANK YOU

The Canadian Forces are currently engaged in Afghanistan in one of the tougher areas that other NATO participants choose to avoid and all too many are combat fatalities.. When the fallen return to Canada at Trenton AFB the processions along the MacDonald/Cartier Freeway to Toronto are lined with Police, Firemen, and ordinary people to show our respect and gratitude for their sacrifice.

Thank you to all veterans. Yes, the Canadians are one of the few that stand strong with American forces in the toughest fights. I witnessed a video of your fallen soldiers returning home and it is great to see folks who truly understand the selfless sacrifice of those who serve.

Thanks to all whom have served and especially those who have made the ultimate sacrafice for our country.
