Mud

Whoooo! These RTVs will hide and hold the mud. I just spent about an hour hosing my RTV 900 XT down. There is crevises all over that hide and hold the mud, manure, and grass. Certainly worth spending extra time to hose them off. The skid pan for the front axle gear box was the worst to clean out. Next time I'll remove that skid pan.

I just spent a few days building a new hi-tensile electric fence on some acreage that is very wet this time of the year. Impressive how the RTV pulled a 5' x 10' trailer throught this very wet and muddy area. Of coarse that's where all the mud came from.

I just thought I'd share this experience with you today.

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you dont know the half of it with mud,the crew i work with run them on pipeline projects,so mud and cleaning them off are not even in the same sentence!!wish i could have taken pics of the last 4 i worked on!2 hrs steam cleaning to be able to service it!!

Point well taken Clueless; however, I was not getting paid when I way cleaning the RTV.:gotsmoney:

Based on your previous posts, I don't agree with your forum name. I believe you are far from being clueless. Keep educating us.

.... We have learned to spray much down with "Son Of A Gun" protectant. It does help alot with this Louisiana Gumbo mud we have down here in the swamps ......
That way, when the water of the hose hits it, it helps with removing mud off of things.....

yes spray that son-of-a-gun all over it and that mud won't stick to it.some people even use good old wd40 but that could get costly. get you some of that tire foam and got to sprayin .
