Yep. This applies to ATV's as well.

I have 2 now. I need to re-check with my kids but I'm pretty sure they haven't been eating the brakes, batteries or valve stems...

My kids do since they already have their machines.

What's unsafe is that the parents now have to put their kids on bigger machines (rated for > 12 years old) which is unsafe.

it's duh rider or teacher not duh machine . just like guns day will sit dare and not do nuthin until a person pulls duh trigger yet day blame duh gun and not duh person.

To an extent that's true. What I'm talking about is when the kid is using a piece of equipment that's too big.

In your gun analogy, it's only partially true. My kids know the safety and what to do before putting your finger on the trigger (safety things) but what I'm talking about is when the trigger is pulled. If my 50-pound son shoots a .22, that's the right size for him. Put a 300 win mag up to his arm and pulled the trigger, it would shatter the bones in his body. It's the wrong size (too big)... and that's what I'm talking about.

there is a video of a kid driven his hads razor through a mud hole and useing the winch to pull himself out when he got stuck. the kids dad showed him how to use it and let him drive it with no others onboard that kid is about 3 or 4 years old. pretty neat video to watch i'll try to find it.
