Hey Tommy

I thought you were going to get a 1100 last week. Is it in yet? Lots of people are waiting for bumpers and such!!!!

well it's been delayed yet again.not my fault but the dealer. sorry is there something you need for your rtv what rtv do you have 900/1100?

I have an 04 900 I was thinking about upgrading to the 1100. I have had a lot of trouble with mine, spindles stripped, trans acting strange, I do like it when it isnt broke down.

One of the spindles was bad when I purchased it. I got that fixed and the opposite side started binding and such. I tore it apart myself and replaced the spindle and bearing. It was cheaper doing it myself. Are the 1100 spindles different? The transmission has always acted as if it wont go up a steep hill even in low gear. It just acts like it slips. I am afraid to take it to kubota they are 85.00 per hr shop rate. I would buy a new 1100 if they changed and improved a few things.

When climbing a hill, where's your foot on the gas pedal? Mashed to the floor or ??? Also, are you doing the tranny fluid changes at recommended intervals?

I didnt just fall off a turnup truck, I know how the trans works on the rtv, I have had it for two years I have changed the trans fluid every 50 hrs. The rtv now has 650 hrs on it. Can you explain why the spindles stripped? Kubota told me that they have fixed a few of them but with no explanation why it happened. I just wanted to know if the 1100 has had any spindle problems.

Well, that's got to be about the most patronizing, arrogant replies I've ever gotten when trying to help out. You're the one that brought up the tranny issue when climbing hills. Glad you know how the tranny works. Since you do, you obviously know how to correct the issue.

With such snobbish statements given on the reply to my tranny inquiry, please tell me why I should resurrect the information I have on any spline issues and spend the time typing it out for your benefit.

I didnt mean to be snobbish It just sounded like I didnt know what I was talking about. What because I just joined you cant give me a civil answer, I like my kubota I was just stating what has happened to mine. I cant get a straight answer about the spindle issue if there is one. It was not cheap to replace those parts. I guess that the rtv forums dont want to address this issue. The tech at kubota informed me about the operation of the transmission. I figured it out by myself before I talked to him.

I am sorry if you took me wrong and I offended you.
