New Tires on the RTV

I bought a set of Kenda Executioner tires for my RTV because I was climbing steep hills at my camp and the stock tires were not cutting it. After putting the new tires to the test i have to say they are worth every penny. I recommend buying these tires. Also I bought them from www.rockymountainatv.com The tires were $62.99 each and free shipping fast delivery too.</p>

now das what i'm talkin about. i seen some of them on a ranger they look nice . they should bite pretty good. what size you got there they look pretty wide in the front you should be able to walk across any kinda mud real easy.</p>

I just ordered the same 4 tires from RMATV. Unfortunately, these tires are on back-order until November 6th. However, I managed to find a $10 off coupon code for them. In case you want to save $10, enter this code "77809" during check-out.</p>

RTVdan,

Welcome to the forum !!!!
Not only did you just join the best forum on the net. But members here will ALWAY give you a answer. And always help you spend your money on the RTV.

We have 27 inch 589's on our RTV.
WISH I HAD 26 INCHERS !!!!

For on a hard turn, one way or the other, can't remember at this moment. You can hear them rub very little. Not much, but it does. This happens when you turn sharp and in a stump hole or small drain of some sort. I BABY my machine,
so it's not like I'm doing the "Mr. Majestyk" like Charles Bronson did with his melon truck. I just ease threw the swamps.

This started at about 150 or so hours after the shocks settled down and got broke in.

Knowing what I know now, wish I would have got 26 inches or below. For with the 589's, they will bring you anywhere you need to go, (but the moon).

There are many good tires on the market now. Be sure you get a quality set.

And as always, do the "SLIME" thingy >>>>>

Thanks for the reply, i love my rtv and i wanted to get more aggressive tires because the stock worksite tires cant get you far at all. the only reason why i want 27" tires is beacuse of the low ground, i hit rocks and really hate it. i considered 589 tires but do they last with the heavy weight of the rtv, considered the rtv weighs 1900 pounds plus cargo? and do you recommend a lift kit i personally think they are bad for the machine, but im not an expert by no means. Thanks dan

but im not an expert by no means. Thanks dan

Dan,
I am no expert by no means. But I can only give a review from what I have delt with.
And I also, wanted clearance not from rocks & such, but from bottoming out
in the swamps. But I can say, the 589's pull like no other, PERIOD !!!
Have had NO PROBLEMS with mine. I filled the tires up, both sets, the OEM summer atv's and the 589's with 1/2 gallon of Slime, ( each tire ). Lucked up and found it on
sale at Harbor Frieght the same week I purchased the 589's. So loaded up both sets of tires. And let me tell you, we have BooKoo Locust trees and any other kind of Jesus trees in the swamps that the thorns get as big as timber nails they used to use many years ago. Knock on wood, have not had flat yet !!!!

The durability of the 589's so far has served me well. I've snagged stumps, cypress knee's, clodds of gumbo crossed logs and the list can go on. No problems yet, but remember, I don't do all this for fun, I do this for I got to get to the other side of the swamps.

Do much deer management. Do much wild hog and deer hunting. My RTV has been full of hogs, deer, equipment. It has never let me down. And I've never had it stuck, not even once. IF the 589's tires were to go bad on me today. I would instantly purchase them again, but only in 26 inchers.

I can not see the images and I see a lot of code. I assume that is the light switch. How do I turn it on?

BrianW - Years ago, there was another site/forum. That site wanted to close down the forum section and go in another direction. So, we knew the guys there and instead of losing all the stuff we had there, we imported the forum content into this site.

Unfortunately, the conversion process could not pick up or translate everything from the other forum software for import into vBulletin so some things got lost. Looks like Two Guns light switch wasn't converted...

I picked up a set of Grim Reapers last year and what a nice tire in mud sand and snow.
I did not get stuck 1 time last winter.
