I just purchased a new to me 2014 x1100c.
Mine was as you said you were use to. Run down and need somethings attended to. Looks good. Jonathan

I think I read that the red rubber flap was to block leaves , trash etc. From getting on the exhaust an catching on fire.
Believe I may of read that in the thread , flap for in between cab an bed. Jonathan
