We use Anatolian/Pyrenes for our livestock guard dogs. Our Alpha momma had pups a few weeks back and is now time to sell them...............The dogs are NOT pets.........They are born with and live with the herd.

By the way, we are in a major kid drop right now. 9 kids in the last few days with 3 more does due any moment. For us, this is a major harvest as we are talking quite a bit of money involved in the future for these registered kids........major bonus: several are paints...........

Momma dog is busy helping clean up the does and the puppies are right in there cleaning up the kids.........One got under a gap under a shed wall and the male dog for that pasture kept 3 bucks away from it and was cleaning it up...........GREAT DOGS.........

Twice in the last several days of showing the pups to future owners we have used the RTV to help out. The barns/sheds are down a steep hill and quite a ways from the house. The other night, a very pregnant first time mom showed up with her husband.............dark thirty down the hill and slippery from the rains............so nice to pull up to the porch.........switch on the driving lights as we approached the sheds to illuminate the pile of squirming pups sleeping together.........must have heard, "this is so cool", ten times from mom..............

A 9 year old boy that was just released from the hospital came on Sunday. He had a bicycle accident, no helmet, and had major brain damage.............I get goose bumps as I write this about pulling up to the porch with the RTV........watching his eyes light up as HE climbed aboard.........strapped him in and took him on the LONG drive down to the barns...............His delight while sitting on the straw on the floor while the puppies climbed over him licking his face as he chose which would be his.......................The therapy doc suggested a LGD for a therapy dog for his recovery as it would protect him and guide him in so many ways.................The boy's mom was in tears as we drove back up to load up the loving bundle back in their van............The pup was snuggled in Sonny Boys arms with smiles on everyone's souls...........
