Watched the Clint Eastwood movie GRAN TORINO last night,,,had not seen it before,,,It seemed appropriate for aFathersDay event in an unconventional sort of way....Highly recommend it for any Grumpy ole granpa's out there...Best movie I've seen inyears.

Quite agree, Kanook. Gran Torino is a great movie. Thought provoking for fathers, to be sure. And for sons, too.

(Also, sorry to be off line for a bit. Have been in Haiti for the past 10 days, teaching a course and doing some work for a small NGO in Port au Prince. Just sitting in a Ft Lauderdale airport hotel, catch up on the backlog.)

Onfoot , be careful out there . My nephew just returned from a mission trip to Honduras and brought back the Flu.. Yes, that one !!. He is resting and doing fine should be normal in a few more days..If you get chills, fever, sore throat, yucky feeling , then look out. We have confined him to one room and plastic dinnerware, with access to a private bathroom....Then we wash hands like crazy.. Bordercollie

Always some risk, no matter where you happen to find yourself. But washing hands is a very good preventative and I am pretty careful. So far in all my travels (46 nations and counting) I have been sick once--picked up something in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and came to understand why it is called "Montezuma's Revenge!" Of course folks are nervous about the H1V1 virus and if I began to show any of the symptoms I would be careful to isolate myself.
