Power Steering

TWO GUNS

Senior Member
Have any members ever experianced ANY whining noise from the power steering when
they turn. ( pressures up ). For I can not hear it , BUT, my son and Ms. Two Guns say they can hear a faint whine like it is low on fluid, which it is not. Now, that " whine" just could have been there since it was new, I don't know, but my son said he just noticed it, and went and got my wife out to listen, and she said she could here it also. But she also said that it just be that they have just noticed it and it could have been there the whole time.
Just parinoid, and seeing if any of ya'll makes a faint whine when turning.

Weapon fire has damaged my hearing so bad, I have to depend on others for " noise " tattle tale factors >>>>>

thanks ya'll ,

I think they're just saying that to mess with you and make you paranoid. :)

I don't recall ever noticing it on my RTV but I do get that in my tractor when it's cold. After a few minutes of warming up, it goes away.

power steering

Mine makes a noise but it comes from the center cap of the steering wheel. I can put my hand on it and it goes away. Nothing serious to worry about.

stearing whine.

Mine whines when I have my aids in.......Goes away when I take them out!!!!!:yum::yum::yum: I find that the whole world is quiter when I leave the aids in the house.....It dose seem like the wife walks around talking to herself a lot though......:hide: Later Jerry

Their is a rubber ring on the shaft inside the sterring wheel that dries out and can make noise....u can take off the cap and spray some silcon oil down there....if that dont work take steering wheel off lube the rubber bushing or replace it.
At least the 1100 has that problem

Sometimes hydraulic pumps will just get noisy. You are doing the right thing checking the fluid. As long as it has fluid and works okay, not to worry.
