RTV 1140

The biggest change is that Kubota is changing the load sensing issues. In short you shouldn't have to let off the throttle(to simulate the engine bogging down) , like we do now (and when we need the power the most), to kick the hydraulics in the butt. Almost all heavy equipment has been designed this way for years. I recall something about making it easier to get in gear but it seems like the 2010 model is already set up for that.

They are also adding grease fittings to the yokes in the drive line, and doing something with the seats. They're addressing the trans braking - I guess there have been some legal issues about people going over the dash.

I think the dealers are at the annual sales meeting this week or next so we ought to know more in a couple of weeks.

With advent of the Polaris Ranger diesel I think Kubota is actually getting a little more responsive...

I did it! RTV1140CPX; orange with ATV tires will arrive tomorrow! I didn't order any accessories right now and will decide later on what I want. The price today was $450 less than my Oct 1st quote. I'll post pictures as soon as I take some!

Here it is, enjoy! I already have two hours on the meter.

OK,
Roof
Windshield
Winch
Passenger and cargo bed lighting
Front and rear draw bars

OK, there's a start.

I'll save some ideas for the next member.

Very nice Buckle! :thumb: Congrats!!!!!!!!!!

I had not noticed an RTV with front and back seats. So you can haul four adults plus a load in the bed. Sweet!!!!! Do they give a list max weight recommendation?

The payload is rated at 1600 pounds and the tow rating is 1300 pounds. Seeing what some people do with their RTV900's I think this is a little on the low side of its capabilities. It is going to be fun seeing how much work it will do. :17875:

It will be a work horse for sure. Yeah, for legal purposes they always underestimate those numbers.

My experience has been it will haul pretty much whatever I can load in the bed. Crushed gravel is the heaviest thing I haul and it will still lift and dump a full bed. Fieldstone and firewood stacked as high as I can get it and it is only limited by the ability to keep the front wheels on the ground and digging.
