Congrats JIK. Now that you have your new toy, tell us all about it. Does it have power steering? etc.. That is a gas engine right??? Now you have a ride for all occasions and can enjoy the open air when desired. It sounds like a good deal too... Bordercollie

what would you compare the 500 to in hp and power? a 310mule?or a 2x4 turf gator their ain't to many folks got them yet to post pictures of them doing any work. nor has many people given any work reports on how they haul and perform offroad. i would like to hear more about them from theowners .

Can't give adetailed report at this time. Was freezing rain when I picked 500 up. Then two days of snow and cold.

We have owned the 1100 for about year and a half. We average 1 hour a day driving time on 1100 working cattle herd.

Had a Mule 500 for years, the Kubota 500 is built like a tank. Four wheel drive. 500 has power steering, but will not rate as good as the 1100 steering. Two gauges on 500, hour meter and temp gauge.

No down payment was made on thispurchase. Orange is color, camo cost more. Selected the work site tires. The Kubota web site gives a good comparison to otherproducts. Dealer also sell Polaris stuff, they cannot keep them running.

Kubota dealers are like the Maytag man, I never see any Kubotas in shop for repair. Has the transmission brake when you let off the gas, but not near as bothersome as the 1100. Did replace value on the 1100 transmission.

Also, purchased farm tractor Kubota M-125 about year ago. Will out do any farm tractor on the market. Fuel saving will almost make the payment. All Kubota equipment purchased at 0% no down payment. Make payments on Internet.

I sound like a salesman, I am not.

Thanks to you all for all the info I have gained from your comments in the last year and half. This site guided me to the Go Lights, mirrors, lights, and more. "500" I did not buy the front grill guard, to expensive and heavy, tow bar will meet our needs.

Receiver hitch is odd. 1100 has about a one inch square hole, 500 has two inch. Sorry about pictures have camera but have not learned how to post. Grandson will be here one day that will help.

jik

Thanks for all the info and the report of your new RTV 500. Looking forward to seeing some pictures.

Question: Say you went in to the dealership andpaid cash forthe Kubota RTV. Would there be a price difference (lower) than going with the zero money down andzero percent Kubota financing?

Keifer, a RTV wannabe

when you want to post a pic just select options(next to compose) and click add/update. then pick browse and find the pic on your computer and click on it . now save and when it is done uploading pics click on save. I save my pics to desktop so they are easy to select.when I want to post or harass tommy! Bill

Thank you sir. We will start that project. Found the picture taking machine. Have a good day. JIK

Yes your ideal may work. Will not hurt to try. Cheapest I found was $7499.00, no extras. I think Kubota is wanting to move the 500.They have speical payments, different than other products. Good luck. Keep us posted on your shopping. They may have a used 500 out of their rental fleet. Dealer did not know about the special deal.

dang man i wonder what kinda deals they got on the 1100's thats one sweet deal you got there man.i sure wish i wasn't in a bind right now cause i would jump on it. the last time i got a quote on a 1100 was with 2000 down and the note would have been 280.00 a month thats a big jump from them 500's .them 500's look like some nice little machines i think they gonna give the mules a run for their money.

Muleman2,

Thanks for helping me harass Tommy. The gators can't seem to harass him so maybe we can put some mule shoes on our RTV's with pulling toes and heel caulks all around and go down there and show Tommy how to navigate those swamps.......What do you think of that idea??????????? I can see Tommy now, scratching his head, trying to figure out what caulks are............LOL..........

Rusty Anvil,,

yep you got me scratchin my head harder than a bold headed man with dandruff in the summertime with that comeback. oh by the way muleman and onfoot the bootsavers will be done by friday and i will send out a email of how to send the payment they are gonna both be aluminums ones . i finally got everything cleared out of my shop and i can get back to somewhat normal activity i hope.
