Site Activity

What has happened to this great site that use to be so active with so many great folks? There seems to be almost nothing going on when I log-in.

i juss be hangin low right now . nuthin to really talk about plus i been havin some things i have been havin to do . my boy givin me problems so i have been havin to take care of all that stuff

Hi Canyon Creek, I for one, have been busy on the farm but have been keeping an eye open for subjects that I have an opinion on or knowledge of. I will ignore folks I consider rude but not many of those here. I like this site and feel "at home and among friends". It's just a great place to be if you need something or want to speak out. I was wondering about "Peanut" aka tommy and glad to hear from 'em. I imagine others are hunting . Think up a subject , get us all fired up and I am sure something will get going. My RTV has been doing such a good job that it is sort of a boring subject ---nothing breaking it just keeps going and going........... bordercollie

Hey, CanyonCreekMT. I suspect we are all hanging around. I watch the forum regularly and chip in whenever it seems appropriate or I am otherwise moved to do so. I share Bordercollie's sentiments about it being a really supportive site. With respect to my RTV900 (2008, still less than 100 hours), I am busy lately with snowplowing, snowblowing, and gathering wood on weekends (clearing windfall and standing dead trees on the property). It continues to impress me mightily. Not sure which I am most attached to--my RTV, my 1999 Toyota 4Runner, or my 2006 F250... The Ford and the Kubota really have to work for a living--but the 4Runner is a great town car! :-)

(Aside to Peanut--sorry to hear more trouble around your son. You are in my thoughts and prayers.)

Been out hunting and gathering wood. Bought a used mini motorhome and actually got away with the wife for a day or 2. Getting things ready for winter around here will keep me busy for another week or so. Built a new bathroom in my basement and have some backhoe work to do for a neighbor today. Rtv has only been used for pulling the log splitter in and out of the barn since most of my wood is hauled up already.

I'm still here.

How has forum response time been for everyone? Mine hasn't been very good. Neil and I are working on it.

Response time has been like molasses in January. Glad to hear you are working on it. Thanks!

Funny to read about Muleman getting ready for winter. Been winter here since, let's see, July I think! :-) Well, at least since October.

Canyon Creek,

I have been busy in my woodshop getting ready for Christmas..........Making presents for my family.......My RTV-1100 is just loafing in the garage............I already have all my coal and wood in for the cold winter days and nights.........

I divorced Tommy's sister and sent her back to Lousiana so I am just enjoying the peace and quiet......No more screaming in my ears to go and get her something to eat..........Where is my breakfast, where is my lunch, where is my snack, where is my dinner, where is my bedtime snack, and at night I would hear, get your self out of bed I am hungry, go and get me a gallon of ice cream..........Sorry Tommy, I couldn't take any more.............

AND TWOGUNS CAMERA CAUGHT THIS SHOT OF HIMSELF ON THE LAST VISIT TO HIS REMOTE CAMERA>>>

Been either working or hunting. I do check the post most days.

Put the RTV in a real workout the past several weeks. Lots of mud on the trails. Took the tractor and brush hog back there to cut some new trails around some of the bad mud holes. Mostly just over grown brush. I want to keep it semi wild to keep the cover for the wildlife.

Picked the grandson up from school and went straight to the deer lease which is about 30 minutes from his school. Been wet there also and started raining again while we were there. Parked the truck and trailer and rode the RTV the mile or so into the lease. Roads there are bad also but no problem for the RTV. Checked the game camera and set on the stands until dark.

Had trouble turning the truck around when getting ready to load up. Dropped the trailer and used the RTV to winch the truck back up to high ground then went back with the RTV for the trailer. It never even spun a tire pulling the trailer up hill on the slick clay road. It was down hill from there to the highway. Let the grandson drive the RTV with the trailer still hitched down the slick hill to the highway following me out. I told him to keep it in low and try to keep it straight. I made it rather easy the 100 yards to the highway and walked back to the gate to watch him come down the hill. The RTV handled the load and slick hill with no issues. No pushing of the RTV by the heavy trailer. Would of hated to try that with a coast valve. Will need to bath the RTV and truck tomorrow.

Onfoot did you leave the gate open to the North pole up there? It is getting quite chilly down here in east Texas.

BCZoom, I was thinking it was my computer or the hughesnet... very slow or no loading at all. I go very few other places . Of coarse we get "faped" when anyone at home downloads much big stuff -forget watching much if any video- and then -- it is as bad or worse than dial up -- ( I do get a firewall alert when I click on the how to delete tag header.) Whatever that says... Thanks for all the work!! It is a great site!!! Bordercollie

Somebody must of pulled some kind of switcheroo--we are up to 34F tonight! Everyone's out on their porches in their undershirts drinking beer, it's so hot!

BC and Neil.........Thanks for the work that you guys do.........getting the sight to come up the last week or so has been totally slow...........Today it works as it should, so perhaps what you did fixed it just fine.........THANKS and God bless.......Dennis

I kept trying to log in last month or two but the response was so slow or none at all that I thought the site was shut down. Then I got busy with other stuff and got out of the habit of checking in. Just clicked out of curiousity and it worked. Great resource. Thanks

Glad to see we're having good response time again.

I'm not on as much these days due to an injury but many of you have my e-mail. Send me and/or Neil an e-mail if you see it getting slow again.

Thanks for the great site Neil and BCZoom. Hang in there BCZoom - let us know if ya'll need anything. Hope you are better soon. Bordercollie
