I know this is a old topic, but I wanted to post up some pics of these installed, as when researching it didnt find many before. Thanks to Peanut, I am a happy camper ! Notice the big difference in protection Penuts provide compared to the plastic bits that are factory on the 900's !

Looks good! Does Tommy (Peanut) have a new design? Those look tapered/bent. The ones I got are flat stock.

That plate is bent, so perhaps so. Additionally, you will note the 2 bolts on the face, as he made that plate a separate piece, like his fancier aluminum ones are, but mainly so they could ship in a flat rate box with the USPS. Worked out brilliantly. The other thing I did, which isnt shown here, is I took the plastic stock pieces, swapped them left to right, and installed them on the rear of the A arms, so now I have much better coverage front and rear of the A arms !

Those look good.... where to get...cost?? I've got an rtv1140... don't know if the same part fits it, or just the 900.

Peanut on the forum here made them, and they are around (+/-) $100 a set + USPS flat rate shipping. Nice and heavy duty, and I am way more comfortable trucking around in the woods with them in place to save my CV boots, brake lines, etc ! He or others could answer yr question about the 1140 fit, but likely the same A arms on both.

PM him here : Peanut PM

i don't really have a rtv so i go off of what info i get from the owners . if anyone can see if the a-arms are the same on the 1140 then i can make them.thanks"peanut" Brian you got straight ones? i thought me and twoguns worked out the bends in them before i sent any out?

I have the straight ones Tommy. It may have been a prototype before you started bending.

might be if you want i'll send you a aluminum cover plate for each side with the bends on them they will bolt right onto the front of the stickstoppers.you shouldn't have to do any cutting on the original set and the bent ones will cover that flat plated one.

i spotted an rtv 900 at the local quick stop store now i am just trying to find the owner so i can make her a deal or something . i could use it for all kinds of patterns. so far all i know is it belongs to a lady near by and she lets guys that work for her. now i just need to find out where she lives and go ask her.

Is the aluminum cover plate for bling or do they have a purpose?
If for bling, I'll pass as I'm happy with the ones I have.

they do have some bling to them being they are diamond plated but yes they do have a function they are i think 1/4" thick and are the same shape as the metal ones. but they are made from aluminum.

A hundred dollars for two pieces of metal ( and two drilled holes ) ???????? Did you get a Kubota parts price guide ? I admit it isn't a very good place for plastic but a small piece of flat metal shouldn't be that expensive.

it's really 5 pieces of metal and they are all welded together.it takes a whole day to make one set from start to finish .the front plate has to be bent at a certain angleto get the curve in it. go search the web and if you find a better protecting stickstopper than i make then i suggest you buy it .when someone calls me for a welding job quess what i charge them ???70.00 an hour now tell me if i charge to much for the stoppers.70.00 is the going rate for a welder down here and it's probably alot more for a union welder up north. now i really don't do alot of road jobs because of my neck and back but ocasionally i do a job here and there.and then we can move on to the equipment my welding machines cost me a bit over 7500.00 for my miller bobcat 250 and a couple of lincoln wire feeders.then there's the oxygen and cutting gas. the oxygen isn't that much but the gas is almost 200.00 to fill it up.oh lets think of the wire for the wire feeders thats 70.00+ a role. then the paint primer. the list goes on and on now if i look at it i should charge more but i won't. go search the web and find a better set and cheaper and come show us. then look at the shippin they charge you and look at my shipping price.if i wanted to make millions i would have hit ebay with my stuff but i didn't i keep it small and simple. i'm not raggin you because hey i would think the same way infact if it wasn't for twoguns getting me into this i wouldn't be doing it.but my buddy twoguns sent me a set of stickstoppers he bought online and asked if there was a way i could build them better and thats what i did.if i was to add in my cost to make them and the time i would come out in the hole and sometimes i do come up short but i left it at that and ate the cost. i have been making these for over two years now and i don't advertise to anyone you get to me from word of mouth. over the years i have only made about 15 of 16 sets and a few other attachments but i'm not even close to making my money back on my equipment.oh i forgot theres 16 holes for each set not 2 you forgot the 12 bolt holes that sandwich the plates together. and remeber i'm not raggin you and not ticked that you would post something like that it really doesn't bother me so don't take any of this the wrong way .i know how hearing and reading something can give you two diferent takes on the coments.i'm not a professional typer so i don't use the right marks here and there .

here, here, I agree peanut, if people want China prices, well then, the way things are going in this country, they might get they're wish with home delivery from the Chinese themselves ! :bonk: What happened to pride in work, and honest prices paid for honest work done ?

Peanut does good work. Well pleased with mine. I would drag my RTV over for you to use as a template, but I'm 4 hrs away, and can't cut from work. If you get that RTV for a pattern, let me know on the skid plates. I am definitely interested. (If I come up with some reason to head that way, I may still bring mine and drop it off with you for a while!!)

Tommy.........YOU in no way need to rationalize nor explain your cost of materials, labor, and design.........IT IS YOU THAT IS OWED AN APOLOGY

It is truly a shame that folks who lead their lives by ripping off others take the attitude that EVERYONE is doing that or else they are a fool for NOT ripping off others..........Those of us that are honest and quality oriented folks that charge a fair wage are considered foolish or theives............

YOU just keep on keeping on TOMMY......God bless......Dennis

I don't know what China has to do with this post. Kubota is a Japanese Corporation established in 1890 in Osaka, Japan. Are you complaining about who buys Kubotas or the fact they didn't buy American ?
Pinnacle;
I made a simple statement... the price sounded high to me. I enjoy welding, bending, and making my own version of useful products. Don't whine if your tied to the TV or computer. My Lincoln 255 MIg is $1800. Argon tank fill (80 CFM ) $60.00, 40# Lincoln wire is $42.00, Torch, used Smith $80.00 both tanks filled ( largest portable ones available ) $96.00, Ellis bandsaw $2000. bandsaw blades $45.00, paint and glass beading to blast surfaces is minimal cost.
I guess if you don't have the knowledge or tools to make something the best is to open your wallet and make a choice. I don't charge myself. I consider it a pleasure to have a new building with alot of nice tools to use. Don't over rev... It's just my opinion.
Peanut, if you get two hundred a set and the customer is happy both have a happy ending.

I got mine from him in the early years. Worth every penny paid !! Great guy! Great product !
