mornin, i have a t2420 with a front loader. am haveing a little problem but not sure if it's normal.when i'm digging into a dirt pile or even a SNOW pile, the hydralics will not lift the loader as i am going into a pile unless i stop or sometimes even back up a bit. the hydralic oil is up to where it is suposed to be and i changed the filter also. is this normal or is there something wrong. it has done this from the day i bought it new. any ideas would be great. thanks

Don't know for sure. Don't know what your experience level is, so don't take this as an insult if this isn't what you mean.

What I have found when using my loader on my little TC-24D is, it is all about technique. If you just try to power your way into a pile of dirt, you won't get very far. If as you are going in and keep tilting the bucket up and raising the loader you will get a lot bigger bite and not bog the loader down.

Other thing to do, would be to check to make sure your hydraulic pressure is within spec.

Good luck, hope you get it taken care of.

I also do it much like Jim described. If I drive into a pile and get to big of a bite where I can't raise the bucket I do have to back off a bit and then raise it.

For dirt work a tooth bar will help a lot.

i grew up on a farm, so i know enough to raise the loader as you bush into something. we don't have a problem with the big tractors, but was takin it for granted this would be the same, but so far it's not, but thanks for the advise, i'll check on the hyd. presure

You might try a higher engine speed. Our Kubota BX loader doesn't perform well at low speeds, like the hydraulic pump doesn't have enough output. Not at all like our larger tractor.

Mine wont pick up sometimes, but it's when I try to short cut the + pattern. I just return it to center and move the lever the way I want it, works fine then. I also raise the engine rpms with the foot pedal depending on what I'm picking up.
