I'm modifying the templates to get the forums working as they should. This will mess up some of the style features. I will address the style issues once all else has settled down. The forum will be functional but will not look it's best.

Most are using the Red/Gray style. You get that automatically when you sign up. At the bottom of the page on the left side you'll see a style selection drop down box. Feel free to use the rather plain default style. It might look better in the interim while I try to figure out the issues with the red-gray style.

All template mods are done.
It's not as bad as I feared, but the favicon, banner ads, and google ads are gone for now. My priority is to get all forums up to speed and then concentrate on adding the missing items as I can.

If you see any quirkiness at all please be sure to post the details here. I can't blame it on templates anymore. :hide:

Never knew what a 'Favicon' was until you mentioned it, and I did a Google search. I was wondering why the NTT icon on my computer had suddenly gone to a generic form. I thought it was just my computer acting up.

Well the NTT 'Favicon' is back again! Makes it easier to identify. I have too many 'Bookmarks' (aka 'Favorites') on my computer - I need to start weeding some out that I never use anyway.

That's weird. I have not added it to the code. Maybe your cookies are picking it up cause it isn't showing for me. :confused:

I will get it back but I have a few other clean up items on my plate from forumsforums. Once that is done I'll put the favicon back for all. :thumb:
 
Doc, are you loading favicon.ico along with the forum software somehow?

I've always just ftp'd the favicon files to the appropriate directories, anywhere someone might link. Man the spell checker doesn't like FAVICON. :pat:

Another thing, the links on part of the forum page are so light I can hardly see them. Might just be me, only 1/2 of one eye works.

For the favicon to work it needed to be inserted in the proper place in the header PHP code. But VB3.7 changed the header drastically. I'll get it fixed soon I hope.

I understand the light link problem. Surprisingly that is the biggest loss in this style issue. I will be working to redesign that part of the page but it is not high on my priority list right now.

We went over resource (memory) is the reason NTT didn't respond for awhile. That is very bad news. :(
 
Favicons are back. Google ads are working again and the rotating banner is working. I'm trying to fix that one area you pointed out Jim, and it's not cooperating. Dang it. :pat:
 
Okay, I got em. Hope that doesn't affect anything else in a negative way.

Let me know if it does.
