Tire width rim width?

I have a brand new set of tires for my rtv,
Front tire Size is 26 /8/12
Rim size is stock 12x8.5
I just mounted them but before I inflate them it looks like I may be using the old either trick or have to get a rim clamp its going to take a bit with the space...
Is this normal or ok? I really like to use these on the front. But don't want issues.im new to the rtv.but have mounted a ton of other tires in my lifetime to know I should ask...also how about putting a tube inside? Just asking.rathsr not use a tube.
My rear won't be a issue as the back tires are wider an I don't see a issue inflating them.just curious about these fronts being a inch an half narrower.mayb I'm being over cautious.idk

I don't have a concrete answer for you but the smallest width I've seen put on those 8.5" rims is 9 inches. You might double check with a tire shop.

I'm thinking of putting tunes in the front. It would save me from buying 2 more front tires an it definitely can't hurt,only help I would think.atleast a easy way to get the bead to sear lol

use a ratchet strap around the outer diameter in the middle of the tread. as you snug the strap the bead will contact the rim. inflate just a little and release some of the strap and repeat a few times till the tire is on the rim. go slow and don't over inflate as you go

Yes,thats how I have done other tires.thank you.sometimes the tire likes to fold over though,an fights the entire time.
