Trailer safety chains. . .

at the eye water speed of the rtv if the trailer was to come off it would probably come to a complete stop right away just like my hpx .lmao. now if you was doing 50/or 60mph then you could worry but 23mph that trailer ain't goin far.

Here is something that Tommy could make RTV owners, Set flat plate on the top of receiver, install ball, Ball would hold plate in place, two places to hook safety chain to..... And it wouldn't have to be that big >>>>> What you think ?

Call it, Tommy's exclusive, Limited Edition, Kubota Ball & Chain Combo Kit >>>>>> [;)]

tell me about it i haqve been going to the dump every afternoon and collecting scrap copper and aluminum and stainless steel / even batteries just so i can save up to get the steel. i walk around and snip the cords off the washing machines and dryers and put them into a rubbermaid box and at the end of the month or maybe two months i go sell it and thats where i get my steel money.when i say i wasn't makin any money off this stuff i ment it . i love guns and before i started doing this i used to take the money and buy my guns but ever sines i been doing this i haven't bought a gun. i'm hoping to get atleast one more before they reinstate the asaultweapons ban . i love millitary weapons mainly the weapons from the vietnam war time and would like to have a full collection of them but it don't look like i'm gonna make it.i'm missing the draganov/M14/and the sks. i would like to get a full leghth ar15 but for now i just have my m4 carbine . what would you think a good and fair price would be?? i try to give you guys the strongest and cheapest stuff i can i'm poor and i can't afford to pay them prices the other guys want so why should you. ya'll make the price and let me know if you think 5.50 is to cheap .

Yes Tommy, I know that's to cheap, need to go up on the price. DON'T CUT YOURSELF OUT !!!! These are specialty items you fabricate.

Members here know that that stuff cost. You can't even crank up your torch for any $5.50, much less your time, torches, welding machines ,cost of oxygen, acetylene, cutting blades, cutting tips, paint, or electricity & gas / dieselused for polishing up the product. Not counting the thousands of $$$ you have tied up in your equipment. I know, I own that equipment, and it don't come cheap.

Mister, you can go up on your price some, it is not going to hurt nobody on this forum or anywhere else. If they can afford a RTV, (or any other utv ),they can afford to at lease give you enough to cover your expenses on materials and labor. These folks here understand, you are not going to hurt anybodys feeling covering your own butt !!!!!Everybody understands !!!!

So you go ahead and set you price ........

ok on the trailer ball things for the chains lets go and even 10.00 plus shipping i'll make them out of 1/4 inch steel i'll think of something to add to it you know me i got to make it bling !bling! but it's gonna be nice maybe a 1/2 round baru-bolt type thing so you can hook a shackel or tow rope to if needed. so do i have any takers at 10.00 it's gonna be well worth the 10.00 bucks.

Jamie's design of a piece of straight stock with holes would be OK for chains.

What I've historically found to be a pain is having to switch from a ball to a pin for towing. It's not bad with the RTV since I can quickly swap out the draw bar but can it be made to tow an implement with a pin connect?
I'm thinking of something that allows multiple connects. This page is an example http://www.countryatv.com/atvaccessories.htm

Unlike the one pictured, what I believe is really necessary is a piece of U-channel or something that would be laying over top of Jamie's design with the U pointing up that would slide up the sides of the draw bar so the thing doesn't spin. I have something like what's in that link above on my ATV's but unless you put the ball on so tight you can't get it off, the thing has a tendency of moving/sliding from side-to-side. A U-channel or some kind of vertical tabs that can hit the existing draw bar would stop that from happening.

i thought about the sliding part and was gonna put two peices of flatbar on each side so it would hug the trailer hitch that way it couldn't move frome side to side i think all trailer hitchs are pretty much a standard witdth right?? can everyone give me some feed back on the width of thiers so i would know if thats true.

My trailer hitch is 2 inches wide , >>>>>> and the bolt on my trailer ball, is 3/4 inch >>>> pilot hole has to be 3/4" center hole ..
