john deere smoked it's belt.
That's why I never bought a Gator and chose the RTV . I got stuck more than once with a Mule ( my first buy) back in 2001 and the drive belt smoked whenever I would strain it. No more belt drives for me from then on.
back in the 1970's had a couple of neighbors get beer up and decided to chain their 4wd farm tractor to a dozer to see what one could out pull the other. the big tractor did pull the dozer backwards but then it spent a few weeks in the shop fixing the gears in the transmission. the dozer was back working the next day.
