I
just wanted to caution fellow fixer uppers about what happened to me.
.. I was removing the air cleaner from the skid steer and .. of coarse
it was stuck... Well I was using a little extra force to make it rotate
out of the groove and my hand slipped. I smacked into the side of the
iron frame and broke an artery in my hand . It was a good lesson as I
could'nt bend it for some time . So be careful out there .Bordercollie

I did this ,I believe, towards the middle of July and it took almost 5 weeks to return to normal as far as looks go. It only ached for the first week or so ... sort of like a wasp sting when I tried to bend it. Fortunately being left handed had it's rewards so I could still do stuff since the RTV has power steering. The folks in Lowe's were afraid of me though Haha, A family member is in the medical profession and said to put an Ace on it during the day to help it heal the artery that first week. I am tough and did fine . I was just trying to warn others of the danger out there. I am sure that ya'll have done things far more painful . I was just being careless. No broken bones like you BCZ! i could get mysister from mycousins side the family to get her boy friend T-CLAUDE to look at it he ain't no dr or nuthin but he did watch the wholeer thing from begininng to end. he also went to 1 and1/2 semesters at a vetranarian school.he's good and cheap cause he took out my gull bladder for 50.00+the fee for his anisteasialogist"RAY-RAY" and that was 25.00 plus the cost of the anesteasia and i didn't drink the whole 5th so he knocked some off that price too. i can give him a call if you want.
