What Did You Do Today

Lime...

I thought of that but when I checked the PH of my soil, it was high alkaline, I figured by adding lime, it could give me other problems?

I'm not an expert though and I'm open to suggestions???

I want... I want... I want...

£350 stg... from Northern tool

Mith, You know of anyone else in the UK that might have one of these cheaper??? I'm not having luck over here in Ireland.

I don't think you'll get one cheaper.

SCH make one for 590+vat, better quality, but not worth 2x the price.

The only way I can see you finding one cheaper is if a dealer has one hanging around out back, but they'll probably be monster ones.

If you've got flower borders you might be better off with a drop spreader?....

I've got an Agrex. It's mfg'd in Italy and even with whatever it cost to transport it to Virginia it was $350US a couple of years ago.

One thing to watch for when you buy one. The flow control plates in mine are cadmium plated rather than stainless. Even with washing them down every use they rusted the first year. I keep a can of WD40 setting by the spreader and every time I walk by I spray it and move the controls to keep them from seizing.

What is the white stuff on the piston?

You mean left side of piston with no black on it? That is shiny piston but it strange because right side have oil and carbon on it.

That what I remove head and saw bad piston that why it have low compressor pressure and not have lot power plus smoke white all time.

I'm gathering wood for a big ole bon fire / camp fire for later this evening.
What are you getting into today?

Flew into Denver last night My brother flew in from WA state. We were invited to the Steeler / Bronco game months ago by a business associate. Corporate box viewing for the game Sunday night ......... Woooooooooo Hooooooooooo!

It's Saturday morning and I'm looking at bloodshot eyes, mine!

Frankly there is no plan until Sunday afternoon BUT I'm sure beer, food, beer, fun, beer and any thing goes is on the agenda!

Just got in from cutting a lawn. Its been real warm all day, but with the sun down its gone real cold. Feeling is coming back into my arms as I type....
Time to go get some wood in and sit in front of the fire.

I was up in NY visiting my Dad.

He had a stroke a few years back and needs help with certain projects so I go up.
We got things done but it was a generally crappy weekend. Rain and wind all day Saturday.
I tried to check his chimney between the raindrops. Set up the ladder (about 20' up) and went away for a minute. Heard a crashing behind me. Ladder blew over, smacked/dented the gutter then took a direct hit onto his brand new satellite dish. Well, no TV for the weekend...

You didn't leave him without satellite did ya? That would be cruel.

Our bonfire turned out great. Weather was perfect for a night out under the stars. We burnt up a bunch of wood. All downed trees from our property. Plenty more where that came from. :D
Very relaxing.
Overall the weekend was good, that is until the Indians Lost!!!!! I could not believe the red sox came back on them. Argggggg. I thoght they were finally going to make it to the world series.

Got a bit over 1 hour of seat time on the new BX1500 pulling a cart while tidying up the garage and pole building.
