Winch remote

I have a Warn 2500# winch dealer installed on my 1100. The orig owner never tried out the wired remote as he didn't know where to plug it in. So it rode under the seat for three years.
I wrote Warn winch company and they didn't have a diagram to share or a picture of the connection it plugs into ( ?????? ) There is a rocker switch below the dash to operate it. Not being familiar with the wiring diagram for the machine I have not located this receptacle.
The dealer is quite a ways away and by phone I doubt if they remember where they put it. One would think it would be right out in the open for ease of connection. Warn refered me to a distributor in Mn. Apparently they don't have an installation or operators manual. ( or won't share one upon request )
Anyone know what this connection looks like or can post a picture of it ? Thanks.

I believe it was to be mounted under the dash above where your left foot would be.
But there is no real rule as to where it goes. I put mine in the panel by the emergency break.
Seen here by the Orange button.

Ok, thanks. Now I know what I am looking for. I would have followed the wires but the A/C under the hood shields much of the space. I guess as a last resort I will put it up on the hoist and chase the wires from the winch itself. it should lead to a junction box with the remore and rocker switch leading out of there. One would think it would be out in the open........ and they would have demonstarted it to the buyer at time of sale.

I was poking around under the dash today and guess what I found.... The receptacle for the remote wire tied to the radio wiring. The base was hanging down a couple inches and banging against some plastic which caused the rattle I was hearing while crossing rough terrain. I was welding up some mirror brackets and some other small items so tomorrow I will cut the plastic ties and bring the mounting base back to the drivers side. I may try the plastic area Spud Hauler mounted his.
I bet the installer ( I won't call this person a mechanic ) was late for lunch so he just tied it out of sight / out of mind. I really wonder what other corners they cut or didn't do correctly. This is the reason I hate dropping equipment off and paying for repairs that someone thought they completed properly.

I put mine there because the solenoid box is right below in front of the rad area and it was easy to hook up.
I did not install the dash mounted toggle switch at all, because 'little fingers' keep testing switches and the cable ends up singing tight.
So, when need, I use the remote which is stored under the seat and only experienced people get to use my winch.
Plus I'm lazy and it was less wire to run! :whistling:
