Just want to confirm with you veterans of x1100c if checking my antifreeze protection in the reserve tank is appropriate with the two radiators that i assume are in sequence?

Boy, it does get real cold up that way. heck it's even cold in southern Ohio this week.
Can you find anyplace else to double check your reading on the 2nd radiator? I do not know the answer but if accessible I would try to check both. Good luck.
 
Welcome to the forum !!! I never owned an 1100 but lots of folks here do so you came to the right place. Messicks Equipment . com has lots of diagrams on the RTV models just go to their website and see what all 's there. Some helpful videos too.
 
the X1100C has two radiators. one in the front behind the grill and one on the left behind the cab. they both have electric thermostatic fans. and yes the coolant is the same in both radiators. i check mine at the front radiator cap unter the hood. be careful not to introduce an air bubble into the system. always add coolant at the overflow reservoir and keep it half full at all times.
