hi all, newbie with a 1100 problem

Ah OK I know my home owners covers mine if it stays on the property. But I dont stay to often.I guess if I wreck it ill have to drag it back onto the property lol

mines hardly ever on my property, most of the fall its at the huge dairy farm i trap then ice fishing most the winter then sumer time she dont do much.

my homeowners covers all my farm equip,,,as long as it is on the farm.
My primary use of the RTV and my Kubota Tractor is on my 50 acres. I financed part of the purchase of my tractor with Kubota and they required an additional insurance policy for just the tractor. It covers more than the homeowners would cover. I am not sure if my homeowners would cover if I ended up with the tractor in the river or pond, but the extra policy does and it only runs 43 dollars a year.

I will be double checking exactly what the homeowners does and does not cover and decide if I need to add another policy for my RTV. Sure is worth looking into. Best to know the answers ahead of time just in case something extreme happens.

stoped in to visit her today!

Looking INTO the policy when it gets sent to you, IS A BIG PLUS !!!!
As many here remember, almost 1-1/2 year ago I crashed that motorcycle
and like to have killed me.
Now, when I first purchased the bike. Went to my local Progressive insurance agent. Not only did I ask for EVERYTHING one could get on the insurance policy.
I think the state only makes you have $5,000. I wanted my butt covered. So you think your covered ......
I told them to beef the policy up to $100,000 on the liability end. And $100,000 on the medical. So there, Everybody is covered,
The other folks, Motorcycle, and ME !!!!
WRONG * WRONG * WRONG !!!!
Somewhere, between the agent sending the information to the "Mothership" and them recieving it. Something didn't go threw. Remember, this is sent threw the computer.
The "MEDICAL" part didn't show up on their end. Matter of fact, it showed that I had everything BUT the medical end. Now, the agent new this, I new this, but the ones on the other end, did not receive that part. Anyway, when the policy came in the mail ( this part is my mistake), I just wrote on the envolope, MOTORCYCLE INSURANCE and put it in the filing cabinet. NOT EVER LOOKING IT OVER, or I would have found the mistake, and saved myself big money, sleepness nights, and total aggravation !!!
OK, I CRASH !!!
When I call the insurance company and asked them to send over adjuster to look at the bike, and where do I send the hospital bills when they start they showing up. They said the adjuster will be there in two days.
They said I didn't have any Medical, so that is on me..... I went crazy. What did you say. I go to my agent and tell him, he tells me not to worry, for he knows I have it. He remembers well for the "beefing up the policy".
He calls them, they pull it up on computer together, and guess what. It shows NO MEDICAL. He knows the truth, I know the truth !!! So I go home, pull files and OPEN the envolope, and read. Guess what, IT SHOWS, NO MEDICAL. Even since I paid it, it has to show on the paperwork !!!
Nothing I could do but to pay all medical, hospital, amulance , doctor, bills.
That is a very hard thing to swallow. But I keep looking at the bright side.
GOD LET ME LIVE !!!!

Always double, triple check your policy. It will pay off in the end !!!!

Wow! That's a very sad looking RTV! Hard to see, but is that piston rod bent?

Two guns, sorry to hear about your MC crash experience. I know your pain all to well. I was a victim of a hit and run years ago that left me with a crushed leg, right hand, fractured neck and took a finger off. They reattached the finger and all else healed up, but there was no coverage cause my insurance said it wasn't my fault! Lucky for Canadian health care, but the bike was a total loss from my pocket.

Pulled out my ATV/UTV policy. Tons of liability for the equipment and others but no med for myself. I e-mailed my agent. Thanks for the reminder Jamie!

That bent rod is exactly what happens when it sucks in water instead of air. Comes up on compression with the cylinder full of water and bam, crankshaft wins the battle.

yes two guns full dressed one. they said even the starter looked to ne shot

That is so good. Sorry for your mess-up .>>
But proud you getting things together right !!!!

Demand your dealer to go back with Super UDT 2 in your transmission.

Be a good way to "Start Over " ....

........ just a thought !!!!

AND, while he's got the engine out. It would be a super idea to
install a Kubota spin on filter kit.

Kubota 15291-43010 ( Thinks that is the correct part number )
Think the spin-on filter number to fit that spin-on filter assembly
is 15846-43014 filter. Double check on the numbers ....

My plans are to install this as soon as I can get around to it ....
Big plus for the engine.

Also, go ahead and get the high rise >>>>>

...... two guns

High Rise air intake may have prevented all of the damage.Plus it keeps a lot more dust and gook out of the filter.Im glad its geting fixed for you.Thats a big bonus

Did you replace bike..... ?
How does your finger work now ?

...... two guns

I've had many bike since and now ride an ST1300 Honda on the street and a KTM300 in the dirt.

That finger can grip but not extend on it's own, but its still much better than the one I put through a joint planer a few months ago.
I've taken some risks in my life and I've got the scars to prove it. Thank goodness for retirement. Wait a tic, lost the last finger when I was retired. I haven't learned a damn thing I guess.
