RTV 500 front wheel drive engaged.....

I have 58 hours on my 500. I notice a slight grinding or rubbing noise when 4x4 is engaged. Something in the axle just doesn't seem right, or is it normal. The noise is heard when in motion, not simply engaging the lever. It doesn't sound like gears clacking, more like something is just wound...

    RTV500 Servo Adjustment

Dixedog is right on how to adjust everything. I also have a 500 w/ 45 hours on it. I've been thinking about adjusting mine but to worried that I'll mess something up. I've read where several had made the adjustments and it made huge improvements. Fluids, tune up, etc is not the problem. The...

Help zeroing in on the right RTV for me

Also as far as differences between the models. The 900 and 1100 are diesels but the 1100 is the cab model. I believe the engines are the same, as are the capacities and such.

Help zeroing in on the right RTV for me

Yes all 500's are gas. They are the smallest of the RTV series. Kubota claims they will fit in the back of a "full size" pick up and my dealer told me it has to be an 8 foot bed. It is a 2 cylinder 4 cycle kubota engine over head cam, water cooled. 16 hp. It will do 25 mph top speed. None of...

Help zeroing in on the right RTV for me

I can only comment on the 500 as I have one. It is very maneuverable because of it size. Price and size was the deciding factor for me. It main use would be in the woods so its smaller size was a plus. The bed will hold a considerable amount, plus I added bed rails to increase the capacity. Its...

    RTV Comes Through Again

I wish I owned and operated a farm. I know its a lot of work but it has been a dream of mine. It most likely will not happen in my lifetime so I'll continue to put around my small acreage enjoying my machines just as you are enjoying yours.

    Something different...

I have heard some decent things about the Bad Boy models. It will be interesting to see how it performs for you in the long run. Congrats on the purchase!

I agree with you. Sometimes they can be fun but I guess it differs as to what is fun to some to people. I don't hot rod mine, mainly because you can't. Its not made to hot rod around. For me, I have fun just putting it to work and the occasional cruise. I bought it with work and chores in mind...

New here, let me introduce my RTV500

I do plan on adding a bed liner, hopefully sooner than later. Not sure if I want to do it myself or have it done professionally. As far as the winch, I just installed the 3rd one. Got the first one at Christmas as a gift. It blew an inner seal after only winding the rope on. Bought it from...

New here, let me introduce my RTV500

Just joined up. I bought my Kubota RTV500 last month. So far I've added a 4500lb capacity Superwinch, a lot of drama with that BTW. Anyhow, I added some bed rails today to increase the hauling capacity for things like firewood. I see some familiar screen names from another forum, good to see...
