use of RTV in N.Y.State roads

I live in Maine N.Y. That 1/2 way between Endicott and Whitney Point. All that you said I agree with. My machine has head lights,Turn Signals ,Hazard light , safety belts and slow moving sigh. The road I would travel (apprx.200 yards) is a county road. I guess I need to call the police to get a...

use of RTV in N.Y.State roads

My research has come to the same conclusion as BCZoom. It sure leaves you open to the problem of one police persons benevolence if you unfortunately are seen or reported for being on the road. I sure hate putting myself in that position. What a dilemma.

use of RTV in N.Y.State roads

To my knowledge there is no ( listing) for a RTV. I have only used it on my farm and it has never left my property since being punched. If there is a listing process in N.Y. for RTV's I am unaware of it. I am hoping it is considered a farm vehicle I know it does not fit the NY state definition...

use of RTV in N.Y.State roads

My sons house is on the next road to me. His land and mine join however there are some very difficult wet spots to get through. It would be much easier to avid these spots by going on the road for a couple of hundred yards but I not sure about the legality of riding an RTV on the roads. Does...

RTV ~~ What weapon do you carry in your RTV ?

One of the reasons I bought my 1100 was to transport guns to the parts of my farm that are still remote. When I was younger I use to have 100,200 & 300 yd ranges set up fairly close to the house. Things have changed such that now this is not such a good idea. I loved shooting, reloading and...

    1100 >>> Removed IT <<<<<

Re: 1100 >>> Removed IT <<<<< Two Guns I see the two screws that hold the tail pipe end on the muffler. If I remove them will the pictured arrestor pull out of muffler? then what can this be pulled apart by hand and the contaminated arrestor just be discarded ? Do I...

    New Member- Winch Info

How do you rig the snatch block,to double your pulling power. What I have done in the past is put a small chain around a tree hook the snatch block to chain and then run the cable from the winch over the pulley of the snatch block and run it back to the 1100 and hook it off. Is this the right...

Opening day of Deer Season !

I use to raise pigs. I was told once that you can't eat a breeding active boar because the meat has a stong gamey taste and odor. I didn't believe the guy and had one of my boars butchered and most of the meat smoked. I was wrong it was uneatable . Is this true with wild boars too?

My radio comes with the same features you describe. I use them all the time . I must admit my concerns for the background noise of the machine interfering with the volume has proven to be unfounded. Volume dial goes to, I think, 30 and I find I don't have to put it any higher than 14~15 for...

    Another RTV 1100 new owner

Mike, You were right. These things are great. Only problem I have encountered is how quickly my ground this time of year (N.Y. State) gets full of ruts caused by the machine. I have the more aggressive ATV type tire on my machine (one of the choices offered on the 1100) and they work great for...

    Another RTV 1100 new owner

I have had my machine for about 6 days now and I already have 17 hours on it. So far it has been one of the best purchases I have made in my lifetime. I spent about 3 weeks before the machine arrived making trails on the farm to ride on. I am now able to ride near my pasture fence line thus...

    ***** KUBOTA ADVERTISEMENT ?

I agree. I also am one of those guys that tries to do my homework before I make a purchase. Its hard to understand why kubota does so little promotional advertisement. My dealer didn't do a good job pointing out the positive features of the 1100. If it were not for sites like this I would have...

Ordered a 1100 yesterday. Hill climbing

Thank You Two Guns. By the way how did you fasten your overhead gun rack to the ceiling of your 900. Does it require drilling holes through the roof ? I have been gromming trails with brush gog in preperation for arrival next week of my new 1100.

Ordered a 1100 yesterday. Hill climbing

Although I have lived on a farm all my adult life and have multiple tractors their are some thinks I guess I don't know about this type of equipment. I plan to go up and down some steep hills with the 1100 which I have avoided with my farm tractor for fear of flipping over. What is the safest...

    900 vs 1100

I own a 150 acre farm in the sothern Tier of N.Y.State.It is approx. 40% hay field 40& woods (both are flat) and 20% side hill pasture. The prime use will be gathering wood and taking grandkids for rides. I like to go out before dusk with the grandson on one of my farm tractors and watch the...

    900 vs 1100

I spent about 3 hours yesterday with a friend riding in his 900. We went places that set my mind to ease on weather the RTV will work on my property. The next question is will the 1100 perform as well as the 900. The heated cab with all its other features are the main draw for the 1100. Would...
