From researching for RTV's to buy one for Christmas, I been reading several Froums. I Purchased a Kubota 900xt that will be delivered on Christmas Eve, thanks for the knowledge you all have shared from this forum the reason that I've purchase it. Ps: Its a surprise the wife and daughter do not know.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum!!!

Did you keep some money on the side that we can help you spend on accessories?

Oh, we won't tell your wife and daughter.

Congrats!!!! Now you'll be like a kid waiting for Christmas also ...and wife and daughter will not know why you are so anxious. :D

Welcome to our internet RTV / Tractor forum. I'm glad you found us.
Please post pics of your new baby once you get her. We like pics. :thumb:

when i bought my hpx gator it was a surprise my wife and kids didn't know they delivered it the kids was all jumping for joy and the wife didn't come out the bedroom or talk to me for 3 or 4 weeks . congrats on the rtv you'll have fun on it and so will the family.

Hard Times, welcome and congrats on you selection. I still consider myself a newbie based on purchasing an RTV 900 XT in June 2011. If I may, please allow me to share some of the things I wish I would have done prior to driving my RTV. I know driving is the first thing anyone would want to do upon delivery; however, driving means dirt. I wish I had known of the recommendations from this forum to apply fluid film, Armor All, or Son of a Gun to the undercarriage. This forum shared the benefits of applying the products and frankly applying to a clean undercarriage would be best. I also wished that I would have had the high rise intake installed as part of the purchase. You will likely save money by doing so as part of the purchase. A more economical fix is to raise the intake with piece parts yourself. I elected for the OEM hi rise and am very pleased. By all means, do something to raise the intake. Lastly, I wish I'd had the front mud flaps installed with the purchase of the RTV. They do indeed prevent excess mud buildup on the undercarriage. TwoGuns has been very persuasive with me. (Thanks TwoGuns)

These are things I wish I'd done during the purchase process and prior to getting the unit dirty.

I believe it would be great if a sticky thread were created just for recommended beneficial attachments, accessories, and smart thing to do for the RTV. This forum has all the experience to help out with that and you will find a lot of CARE from the forum members.

Okay, you've told us just enough to make us curious. Is it a general purpose, worksite, utility, or S model? Camo or orange? What tires did you select? I'm so proud I selected ATV tires; but your terrain may be better supported with the heavy duty work site tires.

Don't loose sight of the immense amount of experience available to you through this forum. I'm so impressed withthis group that this forum occupies some of my time at least twice per day. Sometimes this makes me angry how this forum has affected my daily routine.

Once again, welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Hardtimes. The RTV is a hardworking machine and you and the family will love it. (So will any pups you have.) Post pictures when you can. :) bordercollie

If someone starts such a thread, I'll make it sticky.

Don't forget to add tire Slime to the list of "required options".

Hmm, is "required options" an oxymoron?

Tommy - An oxymoron isn't someone doped up on oxycontin. It's a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction. Oh, never mind... too many big words there too. :)
