As Isaac approaches, I want to wish those in the path of the hurricane aka "cone of destruction" the best. I know Peanut has a bullseye painted all about him.. Two Guns lives above Peanut and I live above Two Guns. The east side of a hurricane is the worst side and the west is the less powerful so we are unsure what side will go "around." The weather conditions all depends on exactly where it comes ashore. As it stands now, we will have lots of rain and windy conditions here in Ms beginning Tues eve and then Wed and Thurs - heavy rain and wind.. My niece is on her way home from Mobile after the college she attends finally decided to cancel classes- she should be in about mid night. It is good to have all the flock at home when things get unsure. Good Luck my friends and I will touch base tomorrow. bordercollie

Talk about a bullseye most stotes ran out of gas before 5 oclock.as it looks right now the eyewil pass right over my house.i sure hope it dont get stronger.

Hey peanut, get your butt to higher ground. 12 ft. storm surge is a lot taller than you. Good luck to all in what is looking to be mostly a water event. They are predicting flooding from the rains will move way in from the coast and last a long time.

Here we go again.
I'm prepared as anyone could be. We test fire our generators Bi-Weekly. All is thumbs up.

Have all the fuel ( gas & diesel ) I will ever need.
Going around today and second glance at everything that is tied down.

Most Fuel stations was running out of fuel at 3:00pm yesterday. Imagine they were out by dark-thirty.

Wish everybody the best. We were trained well.
God is on our side !!!!

I'm here if you need me !!!

I also hope everyone stays safe. And don't forget, that wind will slow down, then hit ya from the other direction. Sometimes, it'll come in from all directions at the same time, seems like.

Isaac was upgraded to a hurricane, category 1. It is bearing down on you fellows down there. Peanut don't forget to cover up that bulls eye that is on you.

To all our Forum buddies and their families and friends in the path of the storm Isaac- KEEP SAFE. Keep us updated as we watch the Weather Channel and see the big picture.

i have nuthing to wory about as they say "shit floats" yea the water is our main concern right now because for the last 3/4 months we have been getting rain everyday and the ground is saturated to the max. the trees have nuthing to anchor to because their roots are grabbing mud right now yea this storms track takes it right over my house as most if not all of you know i live in terrebonne parish 15 miles from the coast iwent out this morning to see whats open and they had a few stores open but they only take cash and thats something i am out of right now but i do have enough stuff put away for this i am a collector of lights i have probably over 50 flachlights with batteries well i gotta go right now i'll be back later it sounds like we getting a feeder ban comeing through right now.

Winds are blowin about 60 roght mow.tje eye is gonna be here in about 6. Houts they habe reports of winds aroumd 100 at gtamd ilse and thats where the eye wall is right now.

Tomorrow ... Wednesday, August 29 ... is the first day of the 2012 alligator season for tv's Swamp People. Isaac may meet his match in Troy Landry.

Good luck to all in the path. The pics I've seen of the storm are not pretty. Category 1 sounds tame compared to a 2, 3 or 4 but it is not. and such a slow moving storm, at 8mph the 350 mile storm will take a long time to pass and will dump a lot of water before it's gone. Flooding will be horrible. Best wishes for you all. Take care.

Other post didnt make it...right now its calm we have been in the eye for a few hours.power went out around 3 in the morning. And we got a report of a tornado touching down last night somewhere in schriever.my yard is a bit of a mess but that csn be cleaned up. Hey twpguns get ready for alot of rain. This storm is very slow movin .last night it even stopped for. A few hours then started movin again. Thats it for now ill check back later when i fire up the generatorj

Rain bands are starting to arrive here in cent Miss. -Wed 3:45 pm- Really breezy but not bad so far. Spent the morning cleaning out ditches in preparation for the rains .

So far, we doing fine. We still have lights. Getting some stronger wind gust. Old dead limbs and weak limbs are getting thrown out of trees.

Pray for the folks below us getting flooded in Plaquemines and surrounding
parishes.

Only 3/4 inch of rain so far. But it has not hit us yet ....

Please keep the folks below us in your prayers. They are fighting troubles.
Here, by the rain guage, 2 1/2 inches of rain. But don't know how accurate that can be, with the wind blowing all directions and horizonally. We have limbs, trees down around us. Knock on wood, I have not done a walk-about, but for now, don't see anything damaged.
There has been some trees that feel on some homes. But no injuries.
We did loose power last night some. Maybe less than a hour.

There has been one death, in Abbiville, Vermilon parish. 36 year old man fell from a tree, 18 feet. Deputies don't know why the man climbed the tree. He was gone over to help friends move a vehicle from under a tree to prepare for storm.

Dark and windy.

Peanut, Keep your little friends on high ground. And watch out for the
cottonmouths. The hate stormy weather too. They like to climb into calm places also.

Took this picture from under the carport but the rain is blowing sideways so can't get any good pictures without the camera wet. Ya'' ll up north on the east side of the path get ready for this. Clean out the ditches.... we are getting 5 more inches today.. bordercollie
