Welcome to the forum and congrats on getting your RTV.
Like Doc said, if you floor it on the pedal, it's going to take a few seconds for things to get up to full power. This is normal in M or H range but it should be up to full power pretty quickly.
It sounds like it could be one or more of some common things that starve the RTV's power. They're all pretty easy/cheap/quick fixes.
First, make sure your spark arrestor is removed or at least cleaned.
It probably wouldn't hurt to replace your fuel filter. If you don't have the high-rise air filter (up near the ROPS), inspect and clean/replace the air filter if needed.
If there's no record of it being done within the last 200 hours, consider also changing the tranny fluid and filters. Use OEM oil and filters for this. It doesn't sound like this is your problem right now but it's another thing that robs performance.
