It's back!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure if it was just on my end but everytime I tried to visit the site I got redirected to Net Boat Talk instead of Net Tractor Talk :confused2:

I like to stop in each day and check out what's new even when I don't have a lot to post.

Doc had to do a physical relocation of all the servers for all his forums. The biggest issue is getting the DNS address propogated for everyone. It took quite a while for me and even Doc to get this one back. Other folks barely noticed a blip at all.

This morning (6/3) the forum opened as Net Boat forum as in previous days. But, as can been seen, it opened properly at about 10:45 am CST.

Thanks Doc and Muleman!:a1:

Yep. Like Muley said this has been a rough one. I hope we r out of the woods now with smooth sailing ahead.

just got word some still can only get to the boat site. :pat:
DNS is wacky. Never have we had these kinds of issues when simply changing an IP address.

it took me to the boat site one time i then tried again and it took me to the right site i was out of town all weekend and wasn't online so i didn't notice anything going wrong til last night .

Still waiting for some of our Southern friends to get back. I believe 2-guns, bordercollie and others are still looking at boats but should be back online soon.

It's been real uneven, random luck.

The only thing that worked consistently was to click on the NTT ad at the top of Boats or Cooking when I landed there.

I normally arrive using a taskbar icon programmed to the same thing as Quick Links/Today's Posts.

For some reason that link would take me to Boats 100% of the time while keying 'http://nettractortalk.com' worked about a third of the time.

I think all is well today finally .......

From Michigan and I still get the boat site sometimes like last night......If I ever get a boat know were to go......lol

One member emailed me that they thought they were going to have to buy a boat to fit in over there. LOL :yum:

Even my phone is finding NTT okay now. So it is getting better, slow but sure.

You are doing a fine job....anytime you change something always gonna be bugs in it.....
Thanks for doing a good job.

Had to release and renew to get back here. Tired of the boat forum. Just reminds me that mine is sitting in the barn.:yum:

More randomness. I'm back home in town connecting through PacBell.net (DSL later managed by Prodigy > Yahoo > SBC > ATT subsequent to my 1999 signup). Whoever manages their DNS now doesn't seem to do as good a job as the rock-solid service I get from the local ISP out at the ranch.

I did the C:ipconfig /flushdns you recommended on NBT, no joy.

Then I went into the router and set its Primary DNS to look at OpenDNS in place of some server that Google doesn't seem to list.

As you can see, this works now. Maybe OpenDNS is more accurate than ATT's internal service.

I suspect ATT's DNS service is chasing its tail.

Doc, it's still screwed up. The only way I got here now was click on an NTT ad banner on NBT. I've been trying to connect here every couple of hours all day. Don't need a boat.

In your post over there that explains the problem, can you add a link to NTT? I suspect that via such a link, or clicking the ad banner over there, is the only way I can get here until this gets resolved.

Another weirdness - I'm shown as logged in here but I see the wrong 'theme' (colors), red, not the blue I have used since the beginning.

Even google now lists NTT as
