Kubota RTV900 or Bobcat 3400D

Another point.

You will not get the hours of trouble free use from the BobCat transmission like you will with the Kubota.

Ask any snowmobiler how much annually to rebuild the clutches and replace the belt.

And that is annually or you are buying new clutches (drive and driven).

Over 3k hours on the Kubota and did you do any repairs to the trany?

A good machine

Hi Spudhauler, The only work this 3466 hr machine has had is the ujoints. (rear wheels and drive shafts also carrier bearing) I don't want to jinx myself but I've had good luck with it and use it every day. Now it may look rough most of the time, what with my dragging chain on the floorboard -just under my feet and my whips stuck in the stakebed , minerals on the tailgate, sprayer in the cargo bed, and temporary wire and post on top of all that, but it works hard for me. I even have a 3rd hand in the rear bed stake . It aids in holding stuff . I do use OEM fluid and filters. And change close to recommendations. Bordercollie

the belt drive utvs are very reliable. i had to upgrade to a mudders clutch kit on my rhino to get it the power it needed. now my old hpx 4x4 i had well that thing was bullet proof never really wore a belt down although i did change them every so many hours. now there are some belt systems out there that just explode the belts but most of them are pretty solid.

Regardless, they are still a belt and pulley systems.
They CVT and the HST are worlds apart as far as the reliability factor.
Not to mention the other benefits that the HST system provides.
